This is my experience as well - as long as a body is in the seat, you're fine.

When you have the dealer trying to diagnose/replicate, best to have the tech sit in the back seat - or drive, and you sit in the back.

Same issue on my 2011 WK2. Wickstrom Jeep in Barrington Illinois was useless and spent more time feeding me B.S rather than repairing the problem. That's the last time I will step foot in that stealership. Incompetence Is contagious there.

Any new solutions? My passenger seat headrest has become a punching bag. Probably going to take it apart this weekend...

Re: Passenger seat rattle

I thought my passenger headrest was rattling, but it turned out to be the seat belt receiver bumping up against the seat. The moment I pushed the seat belt receiver against the side of the chair the rattling stopped.

If the rattling sounds like it's coming from the glove box, I have a solution for that too. The latch holes where the glove box closes are too big. I got some rubber with adhesive on the back and placed it over most of the hole, just allowing enough room for the door to shut. That fixed it right up.

Re: Passenger seat rattle

My passenger seat seems to squeak, but only when occupied. I don't think it is part of the headrest. Anyone experience anything similar?

Re: Passenger seat rattle

This has been a helpful thread. I've thought my rattle was from the sun roof passenger side, and nothing seemed to stop it. I'm going to see if perhaps it's the seat head rest.

Re: Passenger seat rattle

We got it back from the dealer and the seat rattle is fixed but the popping noise from the sun roof that was supposed to be fixed as well is not. Back to the dealer on Monday for them to look at it again. This is a loud noise coming from the sun roof and very distracting. Makes the car very unpleasant to drive every time you hit a bump it makes a loud noise.

Do you have any information on what dealer did to fix seat rattle?

I have this rattle also. If I open the glove box while driving, no rattle. It doesn't always rattle, but that's where it is. Where did you get the "rubber with adhesive" from? Any way you could post a picture of your solution?

Thanks!
