*UPDATE*

NOTIFY YOUR DEALER IF YOU ARE HAVING AN ISSUE!

I spoke to Jeff the customer service rep assigned to my case yesterday. I brought him up to date with my experience at the dealer and how that I found other vehicles on the late displaying the same issue. I also told him that I am a member of an online community and that there are a number of other owners that have the same issue. Jeff told me that he is going to contact my dealer and speak to the service manager to find out if they have had any other reports of this issue. He also said that he would be calling other dealers as well. I'm hoping that Jeep will see how common this issue is and will provide a fix for it soon. I will update this thread again after I speak to Jeep customer service again.

Just got mine a few days ago and it has the issue. Mine simply will not stay in. I don't know if I should thank you for this thread or not ... I'd never have noticed it myself, but now that I know it bugs me!

Re: PLEASE CHECK YOURS!! front bumper issue...

Newest Update: Jeep customer service followed up with my dealer. My dealer told them that this is a common issue but the bumper is within specifications of the jeep and that no repairs are necessary! So I either have to find another dealer that says this is not acceptable or enough of us have to call and complain.

What a joke. I had JGC 2012 it had this problem on one side. I now have a 2013 and it has the problem on one side. Yesterday I was at the dealers and they had approx 8 JGC on show and 5 had the problem on one side and one had the problem on both sides.

I question whether ignoring this loose vibrating section of the bumper will lead to other issues in the long term!

Re: PLEASE CHECK YOURS!! front bumper issue...

Mine has it on the passenger side as well. I had read this thread prior to purchase but I forgot to check it before I made the purchase. What is the solution? Is there a simple method to remove the headlight and snap the bumper back into place the way it should be?

Sometimes I should NOT read this forum . Had not noticed it.
I'm having this issue, I noticed it on both sides (drivers side pops out more than the passenger side) when I took the chrome shell off of the Jeep to plasti dip it and thought i had done something to the bumper cover. Guess I haven't done anything. I normally don't read the trouble shooting forums, but i'm keeping up with the rear clunking poll, and now this one to see if a fix has been issued. This could explain why there is a minimally drastic front bumper cover refresh for the 2014's, Jeep is probably addressing the issue in the refresh. Still love my GC. While were on alignment issues, has anyone noticed any interior panels popping out of place? I have one by the lift gate on the passenger side that keeps popping out, and a weather strip around the rear passenger door on the driver side that keeps curling up so the headliner edge is exposed. lol Whew a mouth full!

I then walked out to the lot while I was waiting and saw that 4 out of the 7 new Jeeps on the lot had the same issue. I took a picture of two of them and went and showed the same service rep and he said "oh well must be a characteristic of the Jeep". I'll scan the paperwork and post it later. I'm going to notify Jeep Customer Service if nobody else has.
That's a trained service adviser, that's the same thing they said to me when they messed the dash on my 2010 wk.

Re: PLEASE CHECK YOURS!! front bumper issue...

As Scottina said a while back - there was a fix issued for the bumper issue but it is more of a band aid solution.

I'm not sure whether I want the amateurs at the dealership doing what is described in that PDF to fix the problem.

I'm not sure. I've gotten used to just popping the piece back in myself. I agree with an earlier post I'm not sure I want some monkey at my local dealership fiddling with it.
