Re: Poll: Aug 10 TSB for Shudder Working?

As of now only 10 votes total, and only 3 have voted they have a shudder after the TSB, the rest are reporting no shudder whatsoever.

Despite the poll being incomplete, I also combed throught the other shudder related threads in troubleshoot and elsewhere.

Interestingly, it only looks like the same three, possibly four, WK2 owners have the shudders pre and post the latest TSB. Not quite sure yet, but it also appears that those cases are earlier deliveries - pre Sept 2010.

Owners of the WK2, please vote, thanks all.

Re: Poll: Aug 10 TSB for Shudder Working?

Bump. There's gotta be more than 10 forum members with WK2's in hand? Vote please.

The good news is that Jeep may be getting this solved if the early results are valid.

I just got mine yesterday. I only have 50 miles on it so far. I was going to wait a little while longer to see if the studder showed up, but I will go ahead and say that so far I have not felt any stutter that others talk about. If any studder shows up I will post. I think I will wait another day and then answer the poll. I have the V6 4X4 Overland.

wk2overland is just really nice
Re: Poll: Aug 10 TSB for Shudder Working?

shudder reduced, absolutely still present.
had both versions of the TSB done.
5.7L QT2.

i made a thread on this, too. it is driving me nuts. yes in sport mode it is even more reduced, but i don't drive sport mode all the time and to switch it every time i start the truck seems absurd to me.

Mine does it BAD between 40-45 MPH, and not as bad from 45-60. The worst thing, mine is 2WD so the dealership says there is nothing wrong!!!!!!!!!

Re: Poll: Aug 10 TSB for Shudder Working?

I've been shifting the Jeep manually a lot lately, just for shits & giggles. It really pulls out of corners well when it's in the gear you want it to be in and there's no "automatic transmission lag" while you wait for it to downshift. When I have it in 1, 2, or 3 - the gears good for up to about 43mph - I don't notice any shudder. If I leave it in D and let it do its own thing, it shudders. So there is a workaround - pretend it's a manual and get made fun of by your passengers.

Disclaimer: if you do your shifting yourself, be prepared to watch your fuel tank empty quickly as you'll enjoy keeping the revs in the 3000+ range all the time.

As of now: 17 votes, 12 no shudder, 1 fixed by TSB, 4 still have it post TSB.

Re: Poll: Aug 10 TSB for Shudder Working?

Bump. Oops excuse me Mangoe, I just farted.

The good news is that 72.23% of WK2 owners who have responded, do not have the shudders, or bad gas, whichever the case may be.
