The good news is that 72.23% of WK2 owners who have responded, do not have the shudders, or bad gas, whichever the case may be.
The bad news is that you are not in those 72.23%

Re: Poll: Aug 10 TSB for Shudder Working?

Definite no it did not fix this issue. If anything, I believe it is getting worse. I have over 5,000KM on it now and more noticeable. My opinion was that this TSB flash may have actually made it worse. I see many thinking this is a not a miss but something in the drivetrain and I do not believe that. I can load up engine to ( approx ) 1400 - 1600 RPM with brake firmly on and can get engine to miss fire.....not a consistant miss, but off and on.

Re: Poll: Aug 10 TSB for Shudder Working?

My deducing may be a bit "out there", but could the shudder problem be a simple mechanical issue with the MDS like the lifters are not shutting down the cylinders properly so they are not pressurized? If that happened would a code be thrown? If the MDS cylinders did not retain the combustion pressure when they were shut down, I would bet that going into 4cyl mode would cause a VERY noticeable shudder in that instance. If I'm not mistaken, this issue mostly arises when at light-throttle and lower speeds (under 50mph) so the engine would not be turning fast enough to somewhat mask this kind of MDS deficiency. By the same token, if the MDS was not fully off when full power was needed that too would cause some shuddering.

Now, noting that I'm tired at the moment, but could the MDS cylinder pressure issue I'm guessing at be affected by having the wrong oil installed??? Are people still having the issue after getting an oil change with the proper weight oil? Just thinking out loud. Mine does NOT shudder at all with or without MDS active, but I'd like to see the issue resolved for others.

STIX is just really nice
So I took my overland in on Monday to the dealer. Got a call Monday night Saying the technician could not replicate the issue.

I told the m to check again so the service manager promised he would personally take it out himself the next day. Sure enough he calls me tuesday night and he could feel and replicate the issue as I described and even went so far as to say it was noticable.

Here's the kicker....nothing they can do about it at this time. He indicated that chrysler is working on another fix for feb, bit I don't know at this point.

He checked my vin and any applicable tsbs have already been applied for my build date so I'm sol.

If you have this issue then please please take your vehicle in or log a service issue with the dealer.the more people bring this to their attention the more it gets from chrysler.

As many of us have said before, don't buy 1st year new models. Most of you have been orgasmic about the new GC but all you have been doing is testing it for Jeep and getting the bugs out for all those who are waiting. Stop drinking the Jeep cool aid about some BS quality control program.

Relax wally. My jeep purchase was out of necessity not convenience. Keep in mind that without early adopters you would be the one stuck with the bugs, so you should be thanking me not posting your bs. Why are you even on this forum anyway?

Took mine in again and got the same response. They actually said it is a first year vehicle, and these types of issues should be expected. Also said they would not be surprised if Chrysler finds a fix in the next few months.
