Poll: Aug 10 TSB for Shudder Working?

Did the August 12 TSB fix your 2011 JGC shudder problems or not?

http://www.wk2jeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk2_2100410a.pdf

Simple yes or no, please. This is a reasonably important item, and it would be nice to see it resolved. No drama intended or necessary.

If it didn't fix the issue, please describe in a post. If you haven't had the latest TSB, get 'er done and report back. If you don't have the shudder issue, there is a poll option for that too.

Thanks all.

Re: Poll: Aug 10 TSB for Shudder Working?

I don't see any poll options. But no, it did not resolve it for me. I often get a rough road feel from the back end when getting on or letting off the gas around 30-40mph. Also, if I have it in 3rd to engine brake down a hill at 45 mph, when I get to the bottom and put it back into D, there is a harsh shudder as it gets out of 3rd and into whatever gear it selects.

Edit: I'm driving a Laredo X 5.7L with QT-II.

Thanks JPS. Once logged in, the poll options should appear at the top of the thread, they are so for me. As of now, one person has voted no shudder even before the TSB.

Please post your engine/4wd system and your situation in the thread. It is my understanding that V6 + QT I (this combo can only be had on Laredo if I am not mistaken) don't have this problem.

How is this possible after all those hours testing? Was that just BS marketing?

These types of things are normal for first editions regardless of testing. The important thing is to get them resolved.

Many report no issue even before the TSB.

I was logged in, that's how I commented. There were no poll options. They're there now, so I'll vote. Maybe I saw the thread too soon after it was created?

Let me point you to what the OP said:

Re: Poll: Aug 10 TSB for Shudder Working?

Thanks JPS. Yes, looks like you first logged into thread as poll was being authored. Yes, the results are hidden for now as there was just too much sidebar derailing in JoeSchmoe's other troubleshooting thread and it would be helpful to get this covered.

FWIW, there have only been three votes in this poll out of 100 views as of now, 2 voted there is no shudder issue to begin with.

I voted "no shudder" but mine was also just built a few weeks ago

I also voted no shutter, it was built 9/3. I dont feel a shutter in Auto, or its so faint I dont notice it and I've tried to see if its there.

Re: Poll: Aug 10 TSB for Shudder Working?

As of now, 178 views and only 5 votes, 4 of which are "Smooves", as in no shudder pre-TSB.

So premature interpretations may include:
  1. Less than 3% of this board actually own a WK2
  2. Those that have the shudders don't admit it, haven't voted, or haven't done the latest TSB
  3. Those that own post 9/1/10 built rigs have no shudder
  4. All the above
