The compressor on the QL was replaced in Feb 2012. It has work flawlessly ever since. The adjustments complete more smoothly and quickly than ever before.
No problems after 8000 miles. I routinely use sport mode- lots of curvy road here, and about half the time lower it when I pull in my driveway just before I park it.
I'm new to this forum.....I have to say you guys are awesome with the all the helpful information I found here. I've been having problems for three months now. The quadra-trac II activates at different times while driving. On the highway I've had it raise to the full OR2 height while driving 60+ on the highway. Very dangerous in my opinion. I live in New Jersey and have attempted to set an appointment at Teterboro Jeep, for those who are familiar, and they're horrible!! Service Department told me the vehicle needs to stay in the shop at least a week until they find out what is causing the QT to activate on its own. One service rep stated that the lines tend to kink after a while and it's a known issue so i'll guess we'll see......If no luck, I'm really considering trading it in and getting me an SRT.....but that 2014 model looks tempting! lol

8k Miles. If I put it all the way up it just sticks. Waiting for dealer to get back to me. Friend had similar issue when he took delivery. We both have 2011 Overlands. I bet if everyone actually tried to use all the functions there would be more complaints. I bet 90% of people put it in auto and never pay attention.
Yup, exactly what mine does. I'll attempt to go into OR1 or OR2 and it just flashes. Pain in the ass I tell you, but I'm taking it to the dealer on friday and I'll keep you guys posted on what they say.
I have the 2012 Overland with QL, bought in April so probably manufactured Feb or March. Haven't really used the QL except I noticed once on the highway it went into the aero mode - I thought by itself (not sure if it's supposed to do this, have to check the manual again). After reading this thread, ran out and tested the QL and okay at all levels - at 2900 miles.
Old thread but I have an update.
My '11 GC had the compressor replaced after complete failure one year ago (1/12) and now the same. Again I had "warnings" with the EVIC notice of "system cooling down" when I tried to put it in park mode. This happened on and off for the last 3 weeks and now today after work, it was stuck in the "park" level with a warning " service immediately". So, I drove straight yo the dealer and left it. They will investigate in the morning and I suspect it will be the compressor again either from being overworked due to a leak or a problem compressor.
Out of Interest, How often do you use the quadralift?
I got the message a few times when I first got the GC as I was frequently changing levels to "show off" the new jeep, but now that I only use it for changing into Sport mode I haven't seen it in awhile.
Just asking coz maybe we all have the same suspect compressor but I just don't use it enough for it too fail?
No issues, I use mine all the time. Mainly between Auto, Sport and Park, but do raise it up to OR1 or OR2 for fun at stop lights etc... I use Park pretty much every time I park it.
Based on this poll, I do believe that the vast majority of QL owners never experience any problems.
My warranty is up in September so next winter I'll be on my own unless I trade for a "14.
I park mode daily so yes I do "stress it" although I expect it to be able to cope. I've never used the other modes. Now, is it coincident that its failing again in January our coldest month here? I've never had the "system cooling down" warning in other season than winter and I joke about it because it wants to cool down when everything else is freezing.
By the way, this is not meant to be a complaint. I truly enjoy this jeep tremendously.
I'll hear from the dealer later today and report a follow up.
2014 Summit...when taking off from entry/exit, takes forever to stop flashing "raising". If I get up over 50 or so it will say aero but if I stay at 35...says raising for many, many miles and several minutes to my next destination. Dealer has no clue.
I am taking mine in for the recall and an oil change next week, I just finished printing out the TSBs I want them to do (although I did that last time and they still upgraded uConnect to the wrong version.. doah).
The air suspension on my 2011 Overland WK2 works correctly but it is making this awful CLUNKING sound when the jeep is being lifted up (but not lowered down). In the video the air suspension begins lifting the jeep at 19 seconds. You will hear the normal sound of the compressor at that time. But then you will hear the CLUNKING sound that is not normal around 30 seconds and again several times after. It sounds like it may be coming from the front of the jeep and not really one of the struts or shocks but I could be wrong. I also occasionally get the "Service Air Suspension" message as well as the "Please wait for air suspension to cool" message when raising and lowering the suspension.
I have also heard a similar noise when hitting a steep driveway (only occasionally). I think the sounds are the same.
If anyone has ever had this problem PLEASE, PLEASE let me know! I am out of factory warranty so I haven't paid for a diagnosis or repair yet. I am considering purchasing an extended warranty from Chrysler so I don't want them to diagnose it yet (then it will be a pre-existing condition). On that note do you think an extended warranty is necessary with a 2011 Overland WK2? Mine is right at 40k miles so they are still offering it to me...
