Hi, while checking my 14 CG limited fluid level tonight I notice that the power steering fluid reservoir drop a bit. While looking where that fluid went, I notice that there is a small leak at a few points, which is shown in the photos. Anybody else is have this issue or it is normal? BTW I had my power steering pump replaced over a month ago, which should not effect this.
My 2013 has a grease/oil mark in the same spot. I topped my power steering fluid off and will recheck at a later date to see if the level has dropped. I'm also interested to see what others have to say on this.
I topped of my PSF but I see that it is slightly down today. Seems like I have a very small leak. Probably need to bring it to the dealer to get it fixed.
I just changed my oil this weekend and noticed that my power steering fluid level is just below the low mark on the reservoir. I'm going to see if I have greasy marks.
My car wash guy noticed my driver's side front rim was a lot dirtier than the passenger side. The PSF level was below the low mark on mine. Going to take it in and have it checked out. That bothers me.
Sorry I did not reply any sooner. I rinse those parts down and it does not seem to leak anymore. I check my PSF every couple of days and the level stay the same. I don't know why it did that in the beginning but I guess it stop for me.
I had the same symptoms with the power steering fluid level going down. In my case however i had actual PS fluid drops on my driveway
So i brought it in to my local dealer and they found a "bad joint on the rack and pinion that is not serviceable." So the ENTIRE steering rack needs to be replaced! My jeep only has 354 miles on it and i cant believe something this major has gone to $hit on me. Cant wait to see what the next 354 miles brings me.
stay tuned....
