Re: Power tilt does not move "easy exit"

Are saying everything works with ignition on, but you can only move the seats with ignition off?

Both my wheel and seat move to the easy exit position when I push the button to turn the engine off. They return to the set driving position when I push the button to start the car.

Neither wheel or seat will move if they are already near their limit in the driving position (steering will full up or seat full rearward). I haven't played with it with the ignition off, but my other cars will move the driver's seat while the ignition is off.

Not sure what may be different in the export version. Perhaps have your dealer explain how its suppose to work or have him check it out.

Yes, mine only seat move back the easy exit position when i turn engine off, I have tested steering full down and full foward and engine off, but still same. only seat move back/foward easy exit/entry option.
It was work until last week...

Re: Power tilt does not move "easy exit"

If something changed, I suspect there is a problem in the wheel or tilt motor. I haven't noticed that kind of glitch reported here over the past year. You didn't accidentally reset your seat/wheel preset to the full wheel up position did you? Perhaps try setting the wheel/seat has you like and press the save button near the armrest.

Its not clear to me which fuse the power tilt is on but you may want to pull and replace fuse M8 as that may reset the power seat module and check fuse M8 and J08.

I checked mine this morning and with the jeep off, I opened the door and was able to move both the seat and steering wheel via the buttons. This disables the easy entry as when I started the jeep, the seat and wheel did not return. I pressed the saved seat position switch below the arm rest and both the wheel and seat returned to my presets.

Re: Power tilt does not move "easy exit"

I don't think the steering wheel is supposed to move with the easy entry feature and the key fob. Just the seat.

I don't have it activated on my GC but I tried it earlier today and both the steering wheel and seat move out of the way when turning off the ignition. So yes, they both should move.

Re: Power tilt does not move "easy exit"

Perhaps it changed in 2012 or export models, but my Y2011 seat moves to the rear and the wheel tilts up for exit.

I think the OP was saying his vehicle was adjusting both seat and wheel, then the wheel stopped adjusting for some reason.
