I am going to stay on them. We will get this fixed. As soon as I get called back I will find out if it's hardware or software and I will keep calling every week till this get fixed. If anyone calls and hears anything else about this "Hot Cabin" please post.

I called Jeep customer care back yesterday and requested that they open up a new case for me for the hot cabin issue and they refused. They told me that the Jeep dealership will call me back when there's an update which I find hard to believe.

Re: Problem With 2014 Grand Cherokee Heater

So as the Houston summer approaches, the remote start and cooling the car without having to open the doors is going to be an issue. I know this was originally the heater thread, which I seem to have an issue with. But how many others are having the problem of the AC not coming on with the remote start? And is/was there a fix.

It's ridiculous to think that someone would remote start their car and not want the HVAC to cool or warm the interior.

yep yep you're right. I just went and found the TSB (24-002-13).

NOTE: During Remote Start mode operation, the HVAC system will default to a
preselected value of 72F (22C) regardless of customer selection or ambient
temperature. When the driver’s door is opened, the system will immediately
revert back to the previously selected setting. This is a normal operating
characteristic.

I'm always wary of any reflash and the ramifications it'll have on all of the systems.

Re: Problem With 2014 Grand Cherokee Heater

Just curious if anyone else could try and duplicate my results. I have found that on my overland if I set a temp spread between the driver and passenger temps something like driver 62-64 and passenger 66-68, it seems to keep the cabin pretty good. If I hit the sync button it goes back to furnace mode. Try it and report results. For me this seems to be a work around until jeep gets off their arses and gets this fixed properly!

Disregard this post. It did not work today when I got back into the car after it sat overnight. Oh well i thought I was onto something.

Re: Problem With 2014 Grand Cherokee Heater

I was going to trade in for an ecodiesel but I guess I might have to go for a blutec :-/. My auto ac does not function correctly. I'm now just putting the ac to low (manual mode) and turning on fan.

I'll keep you apprised, but my 2014 Summit diesel is in the shop (again) to research why the check engine light went on (again), and to flash the software that will allegedly fix the climate control issues I have had.

Stay tuned.

Really?! they said they have software to fix the HVAC issues? Did they say if it was just a software update they will be doing or is there a hardware component also?
