Yes, they have said that they are going to replace a control unit or some such, but I haven't seen the paperwork yet, obviously.

Re: Problem With 2014 Grand Cherokee Heater

Sorry to report back that the supposed software fix for the climate control issues did not work.

They did not end up replacing the control unit, but the car still blows cold air at fan speed 5 on Auto at say, 72, until you turn it to about 80, then it blows hot air. Not much difference in air temp from 62 to 72, but at 62 the fan goes down a bit.

They also looked at the Check Engine Light (2nd time in 2500 miles) and found that I had a bad DEF pump, so they replaced it.

Not sure where to go from here, but I have about had it with this vehicle.

So did they say they were going to try again or do what?... So a year and a half for a HVAC software fix for this and that's what we get lol
They are probably having a very hard time finding an affordable fix for this considering it likely effects every 2014 made whether people chose to complain about it or not.

Re: Problem With 2014 Grand Cherokee Heater

Going in tomorrow Chrysler called me today to say fix is now available at dealers. I am going in tomorrow for the software flash I was told this just was released, bulletin number 24-003-13 I think could be off a number, I will report back tomorrow with correct number and the results.

This is awsome. We have had the problem this whole winter on one that was built in March of 2013, does that mean ours won't get fixed?

I've experienced with my previous car and I've seen it a couple times here - even though the vehicle didn't fall within the range if it was experiencing whatever the issue was the TSB has been applied.

Might take a little convincing (I fought Acura that the TSB through 2010 perfectly described the issue on my 2011 - turns out it really was the same issue) but it should work out.
