Re: Problem With 2014 Grand Cherokee Heater

Does anyone know if this fixes the issue when it's warm out air comes out of the floor and panel freezing your feet before the cabin reaches the desired temp? Started happening ever since the remote start update.

Hey Bronx9, have you started using your a/c yet? If so, is it getting cold as expected? Another member, Silvermax04, is saying his JGC a/c is so so cold, and not as cold as he would like. I was just curious if anyone with the "hot cabin" issue, who has had it fixed with the s/w update is having issues with their a/c not getting cold as expected.

Thanks!

Not a big deal just curious, was thinking about it today when my temp gauge was reading 65 my whole way to work when it was actually 90 outside. weren't they talking about a fix for that back in January or something? I kinda lost track of that one. Thanks

Re: Problem With 2014 Grand Cherokee Heater

My AC seems just ok cold but it hasn't been that hot outside yet so I will keep you posted. I also noticed my outside temp sometimes is off as well.

Have any numbers for what you mean by "ok cold"? I know we can't expect good A/C like we had back in the Freon days, but what's it pushing out for you?

I have not had the Hot Cabin fix yet.

I glanced at mine the other day and on "double LO", non-recirculating it was blowing 55 F at the vent with 75 F ambient temperature.

After seeing your post, do the ambient air temp sensors affect how cold the a/c system will blow as well?

I didn't see any note that it had also been corrected but I will need to watch it more closely. It was kinda funny so I always just ignored it before, but I will look

It does in auto mode and especially when the vehicle is remote started. It does and analysis on outside temperature when turning on the auto comfort settings.

Re: Problem With 2014 Grand Cherokee Heater

Well I went and got this applied yesterday and they told me they applied two other sw updates, told me after the fact, did not ask me to do them.

So far I think the hvac stuff is better but won't know for sure till winter but not sure my car is going to be with me that long.

I thought the trans seemed so weird the other day coming home, and today it did some really odd jerks leaving my neighborhood. Sure enough came home and looked at my receipt and they updated the trans! WTF! If I am not complaining about it leave it alone!!! This is by far the most problematic crappy shifting car I have owned.

If it is an RRT, they are required by Chrysler to do the update.

Maybe you would like to PM me what your vehicle is (Engine and Trim level) and I would be happy to look into it. The transmission updates are to take care of shifting concerns HOWEVER they may not have done the update without the re-learn, which in this case your transmission will be doing some shift learning for the next little while.
