Re: Problem With 2014 Grand Cherokee Heater

Is there any way to tell if a TSB has been performed or not? I asked the dealer to perform 2 TSBs and to update the radio to the latest. I can tell they did not update the radio, but is there anyway for me to verify if they did or did not perform the TSBs?

Pretty hard without a Chrysler scanner. But if the radio is not 14.05.03, chances are they didn't do the rest.

Re: Problem With 2014 Grand Cherokee Heater

I had my car in to the dealer last week for the Heater/Air and the radio.
Both still suck! I use the usb for mp3's it will never play on start up. I have to do a reboot by pushing in the volume and change station buttons. I am really sick of this, from here I will go to the NHTSA (govt) at https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/

If everyone does this Chrysler will stop the pretending that all is wonderful! We need some results.

My husband just had our Grand Cherokee in to the dealer and they performed TSB: 2400314. It seems to be much better now.

Re: Problem With 2014 Grand Cherokee Heater

Since having the TSB completed we have only had one day where the heat has been required. I had the temp set at 72 and for once was not required to lower it to 68 to stay comfortable (also in auto mode). So, as we get into the cooling season I will follow up as to how it works as well. The TSB seems to have fixed the 'sauna' but with only one test I will have to wait until next winter to put it to the real test.

Re: Problem With 2014 Grand Cherokee Heater

I had the HVAC TSB applied today and so far so good. I can set the temp at 72 and it seems comfortable and no more ac blasting out of the defrost vents when its 80 degrees outside. Real test will be cold weather because that is where it was a true issue that I hated every time I got in the jeep. I was very pleased they did the updated even though I was outside of the date range of the TSB.

There is also a new PCM update out they said and they went a head and installed that one also.

They also ordered the parts for the brake booster recall no eta on when they will come in but I could careless about this one in the short term when it happens it happens.

Very pleased with this new dealer I have been going to thats 2 visits with them and both were very good. I sent the service director of the dealer a thanks and told him to pass on thanks to the techs that did the work also. I am just as quick to compliment for good work as I am to criticize for bad work.

Re: Problem With 2014 Grand Cherokee Heater

I went into dealer to get TSB 24-003-14 done and came out with RRT 14-050

Does RRT 14-050 supersede TSB 24-003-14?

TSB 24-003-14 specifically calls out HVAC Module and RRT 14-050 calls out BCM (Body Control Module).

Dealer said the updated BCM and BAM.

They flashed the HVAC module on mine for the AC problem. Waiting to see if the weather ever warms up again so I can actually check the AC performance. They also did the RRT for the BCM.

I called the dealer about getting 24-003-14 update done. He was really scratching his head. Saying the system didn't say any more updates were needed.

Then I read the TSB 24-003-14 closer. It's NOT a flash update. It's just a calibration procedure. So the Witech system would never flag it to be done.

Re: Problem With 2014 Grand Cherokee Heater

I just had my 14 GC in to check wheel alignment and they did yet another "Flash" of the climate control. The flash is supposed to improve accuracy of the temperature settings.

This makes a total of two re flashes and it appears to have fixed all the issues I and others have experienced. I am fortunate to have an excellent service department/service writer take care of my Jeep. Good Luck

Re: Problem With 2014 Grand Cherokee Heater

Quick Question I hope - I had TSB 24-003-14 done awhile ago but still am not sure my HVAC is working right. Does 24-003-14a have updated software compared to the original tsb or does it just include a larger date range of vehicles than before?
