problem with fuel pump

hi,
I have a 2011 grand cherokee 3.6L, and since two weeks I have problems with my fuel pump, when I turn off the car the fuel pump still on, I change already the fuel pump but once again have the same problem....the mechanics says to me that the problem are from the TIPM (totally integrated power module)...anyone have the same problem and how solve this???

many thanks.

Mitchell

I had the same problem. You must replace the Tipm.

Also had the same problem. Replace TIPM or fuel pump relay and no more problems.

Re: problem with fuel pump

Thats because from a bean counter's standpoint it is cheaper to swap a $900 MSRP module ($1.98 cost) than to teach a tech how to use a soldering iron and have him spend four hours finding the bad connection. They have people in .ch with special troubleshooting computers for that.

My '12 has been completely fault free but may be because it is also mostly option free (excpt for the towing package).

Re: problem with fuel pump

I'm new to the post and I have the same problem, but according to my dealership, there is a fix to this by bypassing the TIPM. And its a lot less expensive then replacing the TIPM. TIPM's are on backorder anyway.

According to my dealership, you need three parts:

68142156AA- wiring
68217670AA- holder fus
ATC20- fuse stand

Those are the descriptions on the invoice. They said this is Chrysler's fix for this issue so I'll see when the parts come in and they do the repair. Right now I have to remove the fuse every time I get out to shut off the fuel pump! Fuse 25A. 20amp.

I'll repost after its done to let everyone know how it worked out. If anyone has anything different than the above fix, let me know.
