The manual definitely talks about lowering the suspension automatically for easier exit. I was confused though in reading the manual how it knew you weren't at a stoplight. If it waits till you put it in park, how long do you have to wait for it to finish lowering? Dies the engine have to stay on? The manual didn't clarify.

Re: problems with Uconnect

Here is the Option for the seat selected...the directory structure is:

Settings/Engine Off Options/Easy Exit Seat

I do not see anything at this point for suspension lowering at engine shutoff.

The manual shows it should be a menu choice under suspension. I hope they work this out because I was on the fence regarding QL until I saw this function in the manual before I purchased our Summit as I have an aging father in law that has trouble getting into vehicles.

You can still just press the button as you approach your driveway. When you slow to 15 mph it starts to lower. By the time you stop it's just about there.

Definitely not an on-screen option under suspension options, yet there it was in the manual!! However the easy exit seat setting I posted earlier is an option and yet it is NOT mentioned in the manual as far as I can see...

Strange....perhaps the options were switched after the manual was developed, which might make sense since the Park function is right there as bill_de states...it is a little more work to adjust the seat back and down while approaching or parking....

Just my $0.02.

My problem is I never remember to push the button before I park. Not that big of a deal because I like everything else about this Jeep. This is my 3rd GC and it is by far the best of the 3.

Re: problems with Uconnect

Page 380 of the 2014 manual in the quadralift section:

Entry/Exit Mode (Lowers the vehicle approximately 1.5 in (38 mm) – This position lowers the vehicle for easier passenger entry and exit as well as lowering the rear of the vehicle for easier loading and unloading of cargo. To enter Entry/Exit Mode, press the “Down” button once from (NRH) while the vehicle speed is below 25 mph (40 km/h). Once the vehicle speed goes below 15 mph (24 km/h) the vehicle height will begin to lower. If the vehicle speed remains between 15 mph (24 km/h) and 25 mph (40 km/h) for greater than 60 seconds, or the vehicle speed exceeds 25 mph
(40 km/h) the Entry/Exit Mode change will be can- celled. To exit Entry/Exit Mode, press the “Up” button once while in Park Mode or drive the vehicle over 15 mph (24 km/h).
NOTE: Automatic lowering of the vehicle into Entry/Exit Mode can be enabled through the Uconnect® Touch- Screen Radio. If this feature is enabled, the vehicle will only lower if the shift lever is in PARK, the terrain switch is in AUTO, and the transfer-case is in AUTO”

This is the issue and point of discussion...the option appears to be unavailable in UConnect in order to select the auto mode.

The problem is that the option for enabling automatic lowering does not appear on the Uconnect menu. I hope it will be fixed in future software update. Not the end of the world for me, but it would be nice to have.

I know, just adding the manual verbiage if anybody was curious.

Mine has the setting in the same section of the settings. What version of software is everyone running? Mine is 13.10.0.

Re: problems with Uconnect

Hello all...Just found this forum and want to post our issue wiht the Entry/Exit Mode...Just picked up our 2014 Overland and can't find the Entry/Exit Mode on the display...When we first tested the new vehicle, the salesman showed us that feature on OUR jeep and showed us how it worked...that was a selling point to my wife and we paid the extra $$ for the overland with the air suspension so she can get in and out easier...
IT WAS THERE when we test drove the Jeep...AFTER inspection and delivery it is not on the display...We are taking the Jeepack to the dealer to find out what's up...Will post results if they find a solution...
