Re: Programming key FOB to memory

Agree with ken. Just leave fob in your pocket and (if you are the present #1 or #2 driver) when you press start everything simply adjusts. What could be easier? I like the "easy exit" seat sliding back, as the V6 is so quiet that my wife and I agrees its the best reminder that you shut of the vehicle. Our neighbor has a GC and she left it running for 4 hours ... forgot to push "stop"!

Re: Programming key FOB to memory

Thanks Ken!!! We were going crazy trying to figure that out. With the latest version of software it recalls everything without any issues.

Re: Programming key FOB to memory

2014 Overland, and I am having the darndest time with fob #2.
Got my wifes fob set up just fine, but the number 2 setting simply will not take.
So, with the vehicle running, I push S, then 2, the 8.4 deal says saving setting... do I push the door lock on the fob while that is being displayed, or after?

Re: Programming key FOB to memory

Thanks to all and this thread. Just programmed both my key fobs and works perfectly. The seat, side mirrors, and steering column adjusted as soon as I opened my door.

Re: Programming key FOB to memory

I had a weird thing happen. I couldn't get the first Key FOB to program to save my life. I almost gave up, but then I tried the other key FOB. Success! Then I programmed the 1st key FOB again. It worked that time.

Angry Re: Programming key FOB to memory

I have tried all the techniques in the quick guide, owners manuals (I have 2 and the procedures are different in each) and all of the tips in this thread. Still nothing. I never get any messages from UConnnect that the FOB has been programmed, and, of course, they don't work. Also, I have set the Passive Entry on in UConnect and it doesn't appear to do anything either. That is, not only does it not impact the programming of the FOBs, but it doesn't cause the set to move when entering/exiting the car.

I've spent 2 hours trying to get these programmed. Very frustrating.
