QL Automatically Lifting

I know that the QL automatically lowers to aero heigth at speeds above 60mph and raises back to normal when speeds decrease.

Today I had to make a delivery to a regular customer and decided to take the GC. This person operates the business out of their home which has a very steep concrete driveway, close to if not more than a 45 degree angle. I usually back in deliver and leave due to multiple vehicles at the location.

I had the Overland in auto on the terrain control and the suspension was at normal ride heigth. After cresting over the curb and starting down hill backwards the car dinged and raised to off-road heigth one on it's own. When I re-entered the vehicle and started it the or-1 remained. I drove normally to see what would happen. It remained at lift until reaching approximately 45 mph then lowered to normal ride heigth.

Has this happened to anyone else? Could the ride heigth be tied into the angle of the vehicle somehow when in normal mode?

Re: QL Automatically Lifting

In my experience so far other then aero mode it wont move on it's own without an input command. I had a passenger a week ago that accidently raised by putting on their seat belt, they hit the button and caused it to go up.

I really don't think it will go up due to just putting the truck on steep angle.

Did you use HDC? From my understanding it works in reverse as well...although I don't know if it plays with the air suspension

Re: QL Automatically Lifting

In auto it decides your terrain it seems the angle of the driveway and the logic in the QL decided it needed to be raised. Normal.

No, terrain selector in auto, ride height at normal, placed jeep in reverse, proceeded down incline, jeep raised to off road 1.

Re: QL Automatically Lifting

Probably just was adjusting based off the height sensor input. I wonder if it may have used the input from the rear park sensors thinking it may be to close to the ground....probably wishful thinking but it would be really cool.

Re: QL Automatically Lifting

The park sensors shouldn't have seen anything. I backed in, so to start with the rearend was pointing straight into air until it started downhill.

I have to go there again next week so I'll see if it happens again or was just a fluke.
