Nope it does not lower the car automatically.

Re: Quadra Lift - Auto Park Mode

I think the option would be nice but I also think the issue is forgetting that it's going to lower every time you shut it off, if you are not watching and someone opens a door by a curb. Crunch........

Then I can tell you people would be throwing a fit about it lowering, I think Jeep error on the side of caution. Probably a good idea, warranty wouldn't cover a mishap like that.

Re: Quadra Lift - Auto Park Mode

Wouldn't mind having this as an option that you can play with in settings.

Also would like to see the sun roof automatically close when you turn off the vehicle.

Re: Quadra Lift - Auto Park Mode

Auto lower when in park makes sense UNTIL it lowers when you don't want it to. So probably best to have to press it each time. As I pull into my condo, I press it and it lowers by the time I reach the parking garage gate, no biggie. So I can see why people would think auto lower would be nice but in practice probably lead to damage...or injury.

Actually, there's a couple of other automatic changes in the Quadra-Lift. If you are in Off Road height 2, and accelerate above around 15 mph it will lower to Off Road height 1, and if you are in OR1 and hit 35mph it will lower to normal height.

Re: Quadra Lift - Auto Park Mode

I would like to see the option for auto lowering AND which mode you want it to default to on restart. I would like to select Sport as the default mode, not Auto.

Sure, I get around it by pressing the park button as I get close to stopping and selecting Sport before I leave again but since I do this 95% of the time I would rather have it set as the default operating mode and allow me to decide when I DON'T want it to work this way.

This would be quite simple to implement in the EVIC system.......

Re: Quadra Lift - Auto Park Mode

One thing that I don't like about the auto park mode is the fact that the Jeep looks funny to me especially in the profile view. Even with the 20's, it just looks too squat. I know, function over form, but it just looks so much better parked in auto or OR I.

WOW, I'm feel exactly the opposite. I wish it ran at the park mode level all the time. Auto height looks way too tall with the skinny 265 tires. Then again, my idea of the ultimate SUV is the Cayenne Turbo S so I suppose our points of reference are different.

Re: Quadra Lift - Auto Park Mode

^^^ An option to run it in the low mode would be cool. Is "park" and "sport" height the same??? I haven't intentionally ran mine in sport mode yet....it may have done so automatically though. I think being able to set it in low would be better than it just automatically going into park mode when you place it in park....would be safer IMO.

Re: Quadra Lift - Auto Park Mode

No, Park mode is ~ 1" lower then Aero mode (Sport mode or at speeds above 66 mph in Auto mode).

I looked at the linkage for the height sensors and on the rear it would be easy to build adjustable links but the front links are S shaped so it makes creating an adjustable like like they have for the Cayenne very difficult. What an adjustable link does is make ALL heights lower by shortening the linkage to the height sensor. Basically you're changing the relationship between the real height and the measured height.
