Quadra Lift issues 2013 Summit

I have several questions relating to the Quadra Lift suspension on my 2013 Overland Summit GC. Tires are 265/50R20 111 V XL Nokia WRG3 SUV. The issues are that it feels to be riding high, and I now have to use 4Low in order to use ORII.

Background.
Several weeks ago I noticed that the Quadra Lift suspension was sagging on the front drivers side of my 2013 Overland Summit GC. It took several trips to the dealer, and a new control module, hight sensors and air lines, before the dealer resolved the issue (a pinhole leak in the line).

When I got the the "fixed" GC home after picking it up from the dealer, my first impression was "is it sitting high?", so I ran it through the ORI, ORII and Park cycle. The vehicle would go into ORI and Park, but not ORII (would simply flash without anything happening). So… it went back to the dealer the following day. It seems the dealer spent the day emailing Jeep on this issue as they were receiving a error code they could not clear, but everything else was working fine. I called Jeep on this, and crazy enough using just my phone number they confirmed these conversations were taking place actually reading to me tidbits from the emails.

The outcome was that I've been advised by the dealer that to go into ORII mode the vehicle has to be in 4Low, and that everything else is working fine. However my impression is still that the vehicle is sitting high, and that I never recall having to put the vehicle in 4Low before in order to go into ORII.

Questions.

1. Can anyone advise on the correct ride hight for the a 2013 GC Overland Summit (OEM Size Tires), and where to take the measurements from?

2. On a 2013 GC Overland Summit, must 4Low be engaged for ORII, or was this new requirement maybe the result of a TSB flash? … Or is the dealer wrong? Or and I just imagining that I never used 4Low for ORII before…

Thanks,
Tazz

When was the repair? Did they replace the oump/compressor? I just had mine replaced by an independent mechanic who discovered the same issue. He found out that the redesigned pump (redesign from 2011 version anyway) has subsequently been redesigned AGAIN due to a known issue where the pump cannot handle the entire pressure range required to travel between park and ORII mode, throwing a "air compressor cooling down" warning depending on whether the mechanic calibrated tank pressure for park or ORII. The 3rd Gen compressor part is on national back order right now. Ask them that and see what they say. I have no doubt if I had not used an independent mechanic w/30 yrs experience I would have never known.

Also ice had my 2011 overland for 5 years and never had to put it in 4wd low to successfully raise to ORII. That's complete BS.

yeah total BS, you should be able to go to off road II any time. the dealer is lazy and just doesn't want to deal with it. try pulling the battery cable and leaving it off for a while and let everything reset, always amazes me how dealers often never think to try this with many issues as a first easy troublesoot. Does it fix everything no but it does fix some of the obscure electrical gremlins and it only takes a whole two minutes of time. give it a shot cant hurt

Rgr, thanks for the feedback. Check engine light just went off today (well came on), can't help but to think it's connected. I'll push the ORII issue and find out about the pump when I take it in.

Re: Quadra Lift issues 2013 Summit

Update:

As noted in my previous post the check engine light came back on. I took the OSGC to a different dealer this time to get it fixed, and as suspected that check engine light was related to the air suspension. While there I specifically asked about the issue of ORII only working in 4Low. The service department manager and I discussed the issue and he reported back to me that he spoke with his most experienced tech on Quadra Lift and was advised that ORII is only for the most extreme conditions and only works in 4Low. Which we all know not to have been the case early on. This leads me to believe that in one of the recent computer flashes, there was a flash (they called it a TSB on the invoice, but I've not seen it) that updated the LSD control module and also changed the appearance and functionality the instrument cluster information center, also changed the functionality of ORII.

If anyone has more information on this, its certainly appreciated.

Regards,
Tazz

I don't believe this but will look into it. I have used ORII on my 2011 in several cases just to clear high curbs and never went into 4WD low.
