Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

Any one with a 2012 with issues? I tried to see what everyone has and it looks like they are all 2011's.

Apparently not thoroughly enough...they had the venicle raised when they brought it out. I should've raised & lowered it a couple of times. Problems developed on the short 7 mile drive home.

I do remember hearing something while sitting at a stop light but I thought it was the brakes on a delivery truck beside me. Now I think it might have been the system depressurizing. The service manager thinks the leak occurred when the "AUTO" setting made necessary adjustments for the suspension.

I'm driving the vehicle now. I seems to handle fine...just won't go into OR1 or OR2. I'm not sure I'd want to tow the boat while these problems persist.

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

Got mine repaired. They just refilled with nitrogen and recalibrated the valve block.

They identified the problem as low nitrogen level, using the wiTech tool they tested for leaks and found that the valve block was leaking (this is what they told me). So they recalibrated everything and refilled the system with nitrogen using the following procedure: fill main tank to 175 psi then fully raise one air spring, refill tank to 175 psi again and then raise the next air spring... repeat until all 4 air springs were on top level. After this in normal ride height main tank hold around 210 psi. All this was done using wiTech tool to raise individual air springs.

So far so good, works like new. Really fast response on all levels. Been 4 days since got it back from the dealer.

Hoping it lasts!

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

My 2011 summit is going to the shop tomorrow. Got the warnings Immediate air suspension service/repair required, and air suspension cooling down.

It just started today when going in a parking lot. I tried to put it in park mode and it would just blink. (I didnt look at the display in the dash to notice any warnings yet) After that I tried raising the jeep, the button would just blink.

Moved to the next parking lot is where I messed with it again and saw the messages there.

When I got home I let it sit for a couple hours. I tried it again and got the jeep to cycle from park all the way to lvl 2 back to park two times before I got the messages again.

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

I think my quadra lift problems are finally solved. They installed a new compressor (was on backorder for 2 weeks) and recharged the nitrogen system. They kept the vehicle overnight to make sure the system maintained pressure. The system is performing flawlessly. In fact, the QL is performing better than it did the day I drove it off the lot. The height adjustments complete much more quickly and smoothly.

I'll try it out periodically over the next few weeks and report if any problems develop. I'm happy with the QL at the moment.

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

I read in one of the Jeep Forums ( and of course I cannot find it again ) that When Jeep was putting the vehicles on Trains or trucks however they transported them from the factory that they where strapping down the vehicles with the air suspension on and subsequently caused mass problems with the suspension's / compressors because they where constantly trying to push up against the tioed down vehicles and ruined the compressors. That problem however has been adresses since and I do not know the dates involved but it was for the 2011's not the 12's.

And Lemon Law Question: if and when you do "qualify" for the lemon law give back... on a 47,000 dollar vehicle, after a few payments they are going to "replace the vehicle". ok so far so good... would you have to re=qualify for financing the vehicle again or do they have a provision to just change the vehicle vin number etc on the existing loan. reason being I have a feeling I will be qualifying for the Lemon Law in due time for the QL as well. But I qualified for like 5.4 percent financing from an outside bank. My credit has taken a serious hit since then. If I have to requalify a loan I might not look so pretty after the numbers add up and may not be able to afford the higher payments going from 47000@ 5.4 to lets say 10%. Any have info on that scenario??

Oh and I think I would prefer another color other than Mineral grey although I kinda Dig it.

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

It's been 2 weeks since my compressor was replaced. The system continues to work flawlessly. In fact, it works much better than the day I brought it home. Adjustments are quick and smooth.

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

My Overland stands near the fence of the dealer center for 33 days waiting for a service. At first on 15000 km exploded rear right cylinder, and then when they repaired it to a new one and started to pump up the working pressure in the system, the second cylinder exploded.
What'll be next? Compressor? Front end suspension? What should i wait to?
Amazing quality of spares... and logistics, that gives me a 4 weeks (for each ordered part) to think about my stupid decision to purchase an american legend!
Didn't ever dream about such happiness!
Thanks bros!

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

Someone asked if anyone has a 2012 and has experienced QL problems. Sadly, I have. Used to work , hadn't tried to engage it for a few months and then this weekend, I noticed it took forever to go to or1 and simply wouldn't go to or2. Bringing the vehicle in on friday. We will see
