Had the same question...phoned it in and the engineer confirmed it
So what is the "resting hight", lower then "PARK"? My GC raised from "PARK" position itself. I call Jeep "engineer" few times and still don't have straight answer from them. One of them say is normal the other ones are not sure and sending me to the dealer, but after few trips to the dealer I give up. As long is working OK. I am done with my "investigation"

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

Seriously? An engineer from jeep told you the ql system goes into a resting height? I highly doubt that. I have an early build (8/10) and it always stays at whatever height you park in. I park in my garage in or1 so I can clear an extra set of wheels on the ground. At regular height the skid plates brush the tires, in or1 it clears fine. If I'm ever leaving the garage in or1 and brush the tires I would think that I would have a leak in the system.

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

Yup. At normal ride night, turn off the ignition and wait about 10 min. You will see the front and rear go down. As soon as you turn on your ignition it will raise to what ever height you had it set before. Scared the he'll out of me the first time it happened. Was at the dealer waiting for something and I was leaning on my front fender and it felt like someone hit my car. asked the technician and he went to two other vehicles and they did the same thing. Came home called Cry-sler and a engineer called me back cause the phone people did not get it right-wrote down that the QL was changing during driving randomly (lol)... Anyway he said it is normal and designed that way.

I have a June 2011 build, not sure if that makes a difference.

My moms 550s does the same thing.

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

Nice feature. Park off-road and have the truck high center on you by itself. Better still, stop the truck to clear some brush caught in the under carriage and have it lower while you're under there. Jeez.

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

Engine needs to be off and all doors closed. No activity what so ever... Now I know that from normal height it will lower itself... Have not tried with it at off1 or 2, I will go set it now and let you know what I find.

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

Ok. Left it at normal height and it lowered in to park after about 10 min. Lifted it to off road 1 and left it there for 2 hours. It did not go down to park level. At least on mine it looks like if left in normal then that's the only time it goes down to park.

Can anyone else test this?

Yes, mine do the same. Did not go down from off road #1 or #2, only from normal "auto" position.

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

Going down from anything seems like it could cause issues if it encounters some resistance underneath. This is interesting.

Although it does seem cool that going down from Normal to Park happens. I think OR1 and OR2 not moving is a good idea.

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

When in OR1 or 2, it stays there. Which is nice when changing the oil. When parked in Auto, it self-levels after a few minutes. That may be either up or down, and on mine it is only the front that moves (so far). It does not automatically go to park under any circumstances.

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

I can also confirm that when left in OR1 or OR2 it holds that position overnight or longer.
When in Auto, it will definitely adjust after several minutes of inactivity (minor adjustments to level the vehicle).
I have never noticed it drop below normal Park height though, even after more than a day turned off.

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

Just picked up my (wife's) new 2011 Overland Summit two days ago. It will get into OR 1, but usually very slow, and will sometimes get the "system cooling" message. For OR 2, it just blinks and I get the up arrow on the dash, but it doesn't get there. I can go into Park and Normal just fine. I have a Tuesday appointment.

The vehicle otherwise works fine. I'm hoping it's just a code reset to fix the problem.
