I can always go elsewhere if needed but choose to stick it out with these guys and think in the end it will be fixed right and I'll have a good relationship with them for future. I saw the communications between them and Star, it was not quick or forth coming. For the first week they simply wanted to trade ONE email a day with the Tech at the dealer. However the Service Mgr. got involved went around Star and all of a sudden a qualifed engineer called the Tech at the dealer to help. Once this happened it was resolved in a timely manner. It is also true that Star did not approve any new parts to be ordered (these parts are restricted) for 2 weeks, the dealer ordered them in spite of Star not approving.
So I'm sure I'm being too easy on dealer but they are on my team and I want to keep them there.

I am glad to hear that you got it fixed and hopefully you don't have anymore issues with it. My only point with the previous post was why it would take all this time to troubleshoot when it seems this problem is kind of common and it seems its almost alway a bad compressor that causes it.

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

I've read this thread and I'm starting to feel a bit unsecure.
I was going to order V6 Overland next week but now I've lost my confidence.
We don't have large dealership, possibility of contact with STAR or mechanics that know the problem. I think 1 or 2 cars that's all what is sold monthly in 3 milion city as Warsaw. So they definitely don't have experience with any unusual failures. And QL problem seems to be pretty common. Isn't it?
That brings me to conclusion: either Jeep is so faulty or this thread isn't representative attracting posts mainly from people who faced this malfunction.

Could you please let me know what you think about it?

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

People tend to post when they have problems, not to say things are great. As a result, things will sound a lot worse on here than they really are.

I have had no issues with my QL.

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

I'm having trouble with my QL... again. It will not go into Off-Road II, and just jeeps running the compressor until it overheats (doesn't take long either). It has failed me every time I have tried to use it in an off-road situation. Even after a drive, when you get out of the Jeep you can hear the compressor running at the right-hand front corner as though it is trying to keep the ride height. I have, at this point, no confidence in the system.

I just heard from the dealer and they say it is working for them. How wonderful. I have passed along the details of some fixes others have needed so we shall see. We love the Jeep but even with the Lifetime Max Care, living at the dealership is very disappointing.

This thread will give you some more confidence. I'm no statistician but they are pretty good odds of getting one with no problems. The above post is right this is a troubleshoot/problem forum so you will get heavily biased talk re problems. Also I figure these issues will be less prevalent in a 2012 model.

My concern is long term quality but we're not going to have any idea about that for a while. Also I figure other companies have been doing this for years or decades I would be surprised if the technology wouldn't at least copy long term tested technology / materials.

I will use it and enjoy it. I will be 95% city/hwy where the lower ride height will be better (not to mention sport mode) for the 5% offroad mostly sand I have something that will have better clearance than the stock springs.

QL problems may or may not be common. The vehicle is still too new. In any case you can get Laredo X or Limited - these configurations can be had without QL in USA, not sure about Poland.

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

Laredo is "naked" like a stripper...
Limited and Overland (of course) have QL as a standard option.
Please note that we have only 2 year warranty which isn't making the decision easier...

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

Same problem here with the QL system. Truck has 90 (yes ninety) miles on it and the QL system would not go into OR1 or OR2 modes. It just sits there from the normal ride height and does nothing. The dealer has had this brand new truck for 5 days and cannot seem to figure out the problem. They initially cleared codes and reset it, then they thought it had a leak, now they are trying a brand new compressor and that is apparently not helping. I am trying really hard NOT to get upset but it's taking a lot of patience.

Yep you make a valid point and I agree it should not have taken as long. On the bright side when Chrysler called to do a followup survey I told them I was happy with result and dealer did a good job, but it took too long and they are partly responsible. They asked me to send in Invoice as well as my payment coupon, they are sending me a check for a pro-rated amount of my car payment based on how long they had my car in the shop.

So I'm happy with the outcome and Chrysler stepping up. I hope that as the model matures they can narrow down this issue and perhaps improve the system or it's components, I think the compressor is a weak link.

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

6000 miles on my 11 JGC overland, and the quadra lift would not raise above normal ride height. Still lowered to aero mode and park mode-but not ORI or higher. Ugh.
Dropped off at the dealer, waiting for the call....
