Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

3000 miles on my 11 Overland and the problems started, QL won't go above normal ride height and takes more time to raise from park to normal height. It's at the dealer now, will see what they can do....

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

Nope, no rental here in Chile. But I used this drop at the dealer to get the mopar Hitch receiver installed (export Overland with no factory installed Hitch receiver).

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

Update to my earlier post: 6400 miles and compressor was bad. New one shipped in overnight, replaced and was picked up today. Maybe I was just being overly sensitive, but I heard the tank "ping" and adjust a lot on the way home.
Dealership even removed that pesky sticker for me after they washed it.....
I hope this issue is fixed :-/

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

I've had my 2011 Grand Cherokee for 2 months/2800 miles. I dropped it off for service today because the Quadra Lift will not go to Off-road 1 or Off-road 2. It does, however, go to aero, park, and normal ride height without problems.

The scary part is that the technician called as soon as I got to the office. He didn't have a clue as to how to operate the QL. Apparently this is the first time he's even seen the QL system. It spent 10 minutes on the phone attempting to explain the QL operation to him....yikes!!!!

How can he be a qualified/certified technician? Should be fired. I would not want him working on my car.

Are you located in a distant rural area where WK2 sales are thin? I regularly go to a place like this in the Midwest where the dealer's shop takes about a year to catch up with what dealers have been doing in more built-up areas. Once they've caught up, they are just fine.

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

No...I'm in Huntsville, AL and the best selling vehicles in the area are trucks & SUVs. Tons of Jeeps on the road in the area. The dealer had 6 Overland/Overland Summit vehicles with QL when I purchased mine. Maybe mine just happened to be the first one they've seen with a QL problem. Lucky me!!!

What dealer? I'm assuming the one in Huntsville and not Athens? If so, that is where I purchased mine from...doesn't give me a warm & fuzzy about their service department! Fortunately I have not had to take mine in for any warranty issues (knock on wood).

Re: Quadra Lift Problem??

Bought it in Huntsville. I just received a call from the service department. The foreman and technician have been on the phone with STAR Engineers all day running various tests. All they know right now is that the pressure in the nitrogen filled system is low. It could be a problem with the compressor, a sensor, or something else. The Grand Cherokee will be spending the night at the dealer...or at least until the figure out the problem and no what part to order.

I've owned the vehicle exactly 2 months today and this is the 2nd time it has been in for service. The first trip was for the alarm that went off randomly for no reason. A TSB solved that problem.

This one is apparently more difficult to diagnose :-(

Thanks for being the guinea pig w/ the service department and the QL system! Sounds like it may just be a compressor not holding the proper pressure...I have read that to be a pretty common problem w/ some of these systems, I think mostly 2011 model years and a simple compressor swap and re-charge being the answer. Please keep us posted.
