Re: Quadra-Lift Reliability

I too was very worried about QL. I really like it. I only have 1200 miles or so.
The entry/exit does make quite a difference.

I can't imagine Aero mode does much though, I read online it drops 0.6" on a Dodge Ram.

I do plan to get lifetime service plan. And if it seriously acts up down the road I can always convert it.

I too love QL. No issues yet. 5-10 years down the track it might be another matter.

I think 0.6" lower is quite significant, just ask a race car driver. Any reduction in the centre of gravity improves cornering stability. Jeep claim that Aero provides a fuel consumption benefit. I'm not exactly sure how this achieved. However, with normal ground clearance at 8.1", Aero reduces the air gap under the car by 7% so there less turbulence under the car. Also, lowering the car reduces the frontal area of the tyres (area exposed to on rushing air) by about 7% so the contribution of tyres to total form drag is reduced.

NO you can't get life time, but you can extend it and probably very wise to do so.

Visit here and put your miles and VIN in and it will list your options.

I got that message on the morning of the 2nd day I had it. Switched off, re-started, no massage and 3 years later, haven't seen it since. I think the CAN needs a bit of time to settle in.

Re: Quadra-Lift Reliability

The compressor failed in my 2012 GC Overland at about 73k miles in late December 2016. This was about 2 months after I had bought it used. Had compressor replaced roughly Jan. 20 this year and all seemed to be fine but then I noticed that if the Jeep is parked for 12-24 hours, the front gets low for some reason (the rear was fine/normal height). After starting up and driving it seemed to go back up and be at normal height. Still, this made me pretty nervous so took Jeep back to the dealer on Monday this week thinking there must be a leak somewhere. They did say the pressure was a bit low when they checked it so they refilled and let sit 12 hours. Dealer said they rechecked pressure and nothing had changed by Tues afternoon. I told them to let it sit longer and check again for leaks. By Wednesday afternoon, they told me no leaks were found, pressure was fine and to come pick it up. When they drove it up for me to take away, the front was clearly lower than the rear...made me pretty angry they were trying to get me to take the vehicle back like this. Needless to say, I left the vehicle with them. Called this afternoon (Friday) and don't have a definitive answer on what's wrong so I'm heading over there tomorrow. Fingers crossed...

Seems to me that the height sensor/s on the front are faulty but what would I know.

Re: Quadra-Lift Reliability

My12 with 110,00 km / 67,000 miles has been perfect.

Once, when it was -37C / -34F I had the "service air suspension" message come on briefly. Parked in my garage overnight and message went away and have never seen it since.

I had the "service air suspension" message come on the day after I brought my MY12 home. I ignored it and never saw it again also. It has worked perfectly ever since, touch wood.

Re: Quadra-Lift Reliability

I love my air sus. Use it all day and night. Sport on the highway, and level two in NYC. Hell I'll put it in sport just to get over the bridge, and then put it back in two again lol. 44,000+, and only a seat heater issue so far. I too got the extended lifetime warranty. It's paying for the seat heater .

Re: Quadra-Lift Reliability

When on long trips I like to pop it into sport mode to lighten up the steering. In auto, the torque distribution is something like 50/50 front and rear so it feels more like a 4x4 but in sport mode it is 20/80 front and rear so it feels more like a rear wheel drive sedan.
