The QL compressor is in front of the right front wheel behind the fender liner.

Re: Quadralift FAILED

Bad news on mine, after 45k miles, it started failing in a new way, compressor will not stop running. Techs have tried new relays, compressor, and control unit, but it still occurs intermittently, STAR has not been much help. I have given up and traded for a nice 2013 limited without QL. The rest of the vehicle is so capable and practical, I am happy to try another one without the troblesome system. Hope mine is the exception and the rest of you have many great miles left.

Don't be so sure it will be fixed. I had my Summit in 2x in the first month for the first of six air suspension failures. The last time I brought in the vehicle the Service Manager took an interest, this was the sixth time, and swore it would be fixed. I got it back and it failed that evening. I went in next morning handed in my keys and told them to keep it. Waiting to hear from Corporate on a re-purchase settlement. First Jeep, Last Jeep. Really heartbreaking.

Re: Quadralift FAILED

I'd be curious to see if the amount of use has anything to do with failures. Will it hold up better if you use it more to keep everything free, or are parts wearing out?

Mine was an early build, but I had high mileage and I also towed a lot of the miles, so the system was having to level the vehicle with tongue weight on, and had lots of aero cycles (I hit freeway speeds every day). Only one of my early failures started as a compressor problem. The remaining terminal issues were all electrical/control issues (compressor not shutting off, even after levelling). The mechanical components (air springs, valves etc) were solid and leak free.

It is nice not having any of those headaches now, the tow package load leveling shocks do an ok job with a load in the vehicle or on the trailer hitch, you get some sag, but never go tail down.

I'm on the xpyway quite a bit going to work, explain this aero mode that it goes into while you're driving and is this park mode where the car looks like its sitting on the frame because it's so low?? What do you use that mode for??
