Re: Quadralift FAILED

Keep in mind, and I've mentioned this before as have others, that people tend to only post when there are problems, not when things are good and dandy.

I agree with this statement but also feel that QL is presently one of the most common major component problem areas.

On mine, they replaced the control module but it didn't solve the problem so they have to replace the compressor. Unfortunately the compressor is on back order and they won't know for how long until Monday. They are paying for a rental however enterprise was totally slammed this morning and due to the holiday weekend I'm stuck in a sad Jeep Patriot until at least Monday when they hope to find me a larger or nicer vehicle. So...I'm going to get drunk. Happy Kentucky Derby!

Re: Quadralift FAILED

I know the compressors were on backorder once before. I was lucky when I needed to have mine replaced a couple weeks ago they were able to get it in about 3 days. I was able to drive mine while we were waiting for it. Are you in a rental because yours is not driveable? It seems like they are replacing a lot of compressors.

I drove it there but wouldn't want to drive it more. The front is low and the back is high...big difference. The whole system is frozen and won't respond. Receiving "immediate air suspension service required" regularly. At least there is no question as to a problem existing.

Re: Quadralift FAILED

Does anyone with inside information know if Jeep is taking steps to remedy the seemingly high problem rate for the make/model of compressor installed in production so far?

Presumably the supplier would come up with an upgrade or Chrysler would find another supplier...

There is no problem with the QL and that's according to the head engineer of the wk2. The biggest problem is most people don't know how to use it.
Some of you guys really amaze me jumping to these huge, uneducated and uninformed conclusions. And the comment about a 10% failure rate on "another forum".......I would love to see that as jeepgarage is by far the best and largest wk2 forum on the net......and its not even close.

Re: Quadralift FAILED

The head engineer of the WK2 is blaming the customer for not using his system "properly"? How, pray tell? Are they sticking the air bladders with icepicks?

Assuming we were to accept this lame excuse at face value, what would this say about human interface engineering at Chrysler?

Jeep Garage's own thread shows slightly more than a 9 percent problem rate. This is enormous by any yardstick of automotive reliability. See http://jeepgarage.org/poll.php?do=sh...lts&pollid=292 And it's not about a squeak or a rattle, but about the suspension -- on a top model, at that.

Sorry, but this is the sort of reliability record Detroit must overcome. Excuses like this are simply inexcusable.

where the HELL did I say that? Dont set here and analysize every little statement and twist it into your agenda...cause thats bullshit. Also...that thread is bullshit and is nowhere near to the wk2 owners who are here, that dont post or participate etc etc. yeah...its probbaly 9% of the 2011 QL owners that bothered to answer that thread! Come on dude...give me an effin break!

Re: Quadralift FAILED

Jeep is last in reliability with 2.5 to 1 as many problems as the most reliable automobile manufacturers, per JD Power.

Interesting, although any 2011 SUV survey that includes the Jeep Commander obviously incorporates earlier models somehow (go figure). TrueDelta results for the WK2 should tell more, and are due out before long. But it won't be until CU's 2011 detailed reader feedback is compiled and published that we'll be able to infer whether the QL is really a serious issue.
