Finally got my Jeep back this afternoon. They replaced the ql control module, compressor, and refilled with nitrogen. I'm nit tempting fate for now so I will wait to raise or lower it. It is Friday the 13th after all! Ed Voyles Jeep was great throughout the process and kept me well informed so I'm happy with the service. Fingers crossed there are no more major problems.

They also installed my illuminated door sills and the bright pedals...LOVE THEM!!

Re: Quadralift FAILED

Slightly tangentile, but do you guys know if the front bumper is removed when the compressor is swapped out? I have an odd scratch on the bumper now that looks like the painted surface was rubbed on the shop floor.

No I don't know but I will be sure to check my bumper once I get the Jeep out of the garage in the daylight.

Re: Quadralift FAILED

Thanks for the useful info posted here. I just posted on jeepforum but this is my first post here. Just got an overland 4 weeks ago and I have NOT switched it out of auto/normal height modes except when tested by the dealer the day I purchased it. While driving yesterday, the "immediate air suspension/service required" came up. Once I got home I noticed the vehicle to be stuck in OR2 even though it displays only one solid light (normal height). Interestingly I tried hitting the park button to bring the height down but the light keep blinking non-stop without any height changes. Once I re-start the car the "park" light remains solid but the car still seems to be in OR2. I'm assuming it's not a leak since it's stuck high and not low. Taking it to the dealer tomorrow. Besides this issue im very satisfied with the car.
Thanks

Re: Quadralift FAILED

New member. Joined after my QL failed on a trip to Lancaster PA. I have approximately 5K miles on the Overland - mostly highway.

Issue: The front end looks like it has been "slammed" with the tires hidden up inside the front wheel wells. The rear looks ok. The Overland looks a bit like a fat off-road dragster.

Unfortunately, I am over 350 miles away from home and want to know if I can drive the Overland home in this condition? The ride is very hard like riding with no shocks.

Towing does not seem like an option.

I would take it to a local dealer. You sure don't want to even try driving it that far like that. With it down like that you have really have no shocks or springs in the front. Towing it that far would not be cheap.

Re: Quadralift FAILED

Checked on the Jeep this morning and the front was still slammed. So I fired the Jeep up and the QL lifted the front end back to normal ride levels. Self correcting but for how long?

I would like to thank the guys at Susquehanna Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram in Wrightsville for offering their assistance in this matter. I will try to make it back to MA (350 miles) this afternoon.

A member on another board had a QL failure similar to this. The system eventually totally failed a day or 2 later.

Take it in to a dealership ASAP.

Re: Quadralift FAILED

I have had 5 failures of my QL system and finally filed a Lemon Law claim with Chrysler.

My first failure was after only having my new 2011 Overland V8 after six days. Here is what they replaced to no avail:
1) Replaced QL Control Module and had my vehicle for 4 days
2) Replaced QL Control Module again and had my vehicle for 3 days
3) Replaced front QL sensors as this was what was failing and had my vehicle 2 days
4) Replaced all QL sensors and associated connectors had my vehicle 3 days

I then filed my Lemon Law claim and they are legally entitled to attempt one more repair attempt. This time they replaced the software for the QL Control Module with a new version yet to be released. I've had my vehicle back now 6 days and no failures. I'd say after a month if I have no failures they have probably fixed it. In the past the most I went without a failure was 2 weeks. I guess we'll see.

I'm very surprised they didn't replace the compressor. That seems to have been the fix for some folks QL problems.

I don't know for sure but I guess due to the error codes they were getting it did not indicate it was the compressor?
