Did a search but really couldn't find anything. Went out to my truck today and drove into work for a little bit. Came back out and truck wouldn't start and the EVIC said "Key FOB not detected". Spent 30 min before I could get it started by putting the nose of the FOB on the start button.
On my way home, I stopped to put gas in it and same deal, "Key FOB not detected", except this time, the truck wouldn't start at all using the push button, even with the FOB pushing the button in. Everything else worked. Even remote start would work until I pressed the brake and the start button. As soon as I pressed the brake, it killed the engine. Got to the point where the vehicle was all locked up and I couldn't use the accessory setting to even rool up my windows. But the FOB would unlock/lock the doors no problems.
I read on my phone that there was a way to pull the start button out and use the key, but I guess this is for pre-2014 models? Thought I read that Chrysler did away with this feature.
Anyway, had Roadside come and tow it to the dealer nearby and I will roll by there first thing... Going to take the other FOB by and see if it is a battery issue. Like the truck, but it is starting to get on my nerves. Just over 5000 miles on it....
