Radio EQ wake

If you do then you have the "wake up the equalizer" glitch. You'll need to do that procedure every time you start the vehicle.

Don't know why or what's causing it but a few of us are experiencing this weird issue.

This post is originally from another user however I decided to keep at it to find a fix.
I have visited my dealer about 10 times and each time I received a loaner since I have the maxcare warranty.

The following was done in order:
  • Software update
  • replaced amp
  • replaced head unit
  • replaced amp
  • rewired amp
  • tested the issue on multiple jeeps in the lot by technician (all have the same issue)
The final outcome is that it's apparently a known issue with Alpine and they are "working" on a fix for this.

Re: Radio EQ wake

LOL... I'm not holding my breath for the fix. It's become such a habit to do this at startup that I don't even pay attention to it anymore.

Even my new radio does it.

Re: Radio EQ wake

I believe some MY15 owners have complained of this.
