Rattle in Driver Side Front Door

I have about 2000 miles on my Overland, and have developed a small rattle in the front driver side door area. It seems to be localized to the front door, and it only occurs about 50% of the time, but it is annoying. It is a light, tinny sounding rattle (like a spring or clip loose). Any suggestions. I hate to have the dealer take the door panel off or anything, but with a new vehicle I want it to be solid throughout. Has anyone else had issues with rattles that were handled by the dealer? Thanks....

I have the same annoying noise but behind the stereo inside the dash. I can try ripping out the stereo to check but what the F$%@! I can turn the radio volume up a bit to drown out the noise (only happens at idle at a stop in Drive....i.e. traffic light) but if I'm listening to talk radio (i.e. Opie and Anthony...plug) it's very annoying as I can hear it then....or when on the hands free U-Connect phone at a light. Might just let the dealership know about it at my next free oil change. Arg!

Just take it in, it doesnt hurt it at all to have the panel pulled, just make sure they put new plastic retainer clips on the panel when they pop it back in. Make sure they do ALL of them, they are like 25 cent pieces but they try to get away with not replacing sometimes and that will cause more rattles down the road if they did not remove them carefully.

I have a rattle in the passenger side door. It is associated with the locking mechanism. When the door is unlocked, you can shake the door to hear the rattle. You can also turn the locking post at the top of the interior panel and hear the rattle. When the door is locked, no rattle. It's amazing that this got through quality control at the plant.
