Rattle in trunk area

I started noticing today I'm hearing a rattle noise in the trunk area which i can't seem to find. Ive tightened the screws on the spoiler of the trunk (since previously it was making noise) and also checked the area of the spare but I'm still hearing this rattle noise going over any type of bump in the road. Anyone experience this noise before or have an idea where i should look? thanks again

Check that the tire jack is firmly planted.

Re: Rattle in trunk area

I had a rattle that was very hard to find as well when I bought my GC. Turned out to be the amp on the drivers side was missing a nut on the bracket holding it. Pull the storage bin out and have a look in there. Drove me crazy until we found it. Had a friend ride back there with the seats folded down and he pinpointed it.

Re: Rattle in trunk area

Mine is the flipper glass latch which isn't under warranty. It took me riding in the back to figure it out bc I already emptied out everything and still heard a rattle.

LOL, it took me awhile to find that one! It took me sitting back there on a vacation ride to find it. I was sitting in the back seat and it was driving me crazy and my kids seemed to never mind bc they never mentioned it to me.
It's the latch that doesn't hold the clip tight on the flipper glass. Maybe that's why they got rid of the flipper glass.
It wasn't covered under my Added Care warranty so I never fixed it, just traded it in.

Were you able to get a fix for this? I'm having the same issue as well.

Re: Rattle in trunk area

I just shoved some window insulation in between the glass and trim. It was the grey tube style insulation lining. I traded it in on an SRT so I cant take any pics. It adds some pressure to the latch.
