Peckmv...

I don't think you are hearing the right "noise"

Mine isn't constant at all. I think you may be hearing some white noise static the phones microphone picked up.

Listen to the 27 second mark... It's a quick lived clickity clickity clickity clickity click!

It comes back a time or two through out the entire video.

Doesn't sound like a shock or shock mount to me at all.

It only seems to happen on rougher roads needing to be repaved. Or if I run over a reflector in the middle of the street, or small pot holes.

I listened to it again and at the 27 sec mark I do hear a rapid faint ticking sound. Where is the noise coming from? Mine sounds like the front left of the Jeep. I hear mine with the window down much better than with the windows closed. I guess the sound deading is cutting out most of the noise. I will keep you posted on what my dealer finds.

Let us know what you find out. I have experienced the techs lack of enthusiasm for chasing rattles myself (and still have mine). Pulled the front left wheel 10 minutes ago to triple-check the brakes and heat shields; all tight and rattle-free. Mine does sound like some maybe a piece of plastic, or heavier clunking, but not metallic-sounding. Skid plates and shields all seem as tight as they should be, but again, sounds like rattle from low on that front left corner somewhere. Happens on rougher roads, but occasionally on a bigger bump on better roads. Happens with brakes applied or not.

I had a similar issue to Peck. Wife got into a big accident (she's fine) that required new doors/fenders/etc. When I got it back, it would make the "pop" type sound from the front driver side.

Brought it to a couple of places in my town (accident/repair happened out of town) and they couldn't find any issues with the suspension or wheels. I ended up bringing it back to the original repair shop and it turned out to be a broken "clip" that was holding a hose of some sort and the hose was banging into the inside of the fender when going over bumps.

Drove me crazy.

Well, they found the source of my rattle. It was a clip that came loose. They had to remove the skid plates to get to it. Then they also found that I had a cracked manifold. Won't have the part for a week.

I had the same noise pop up once or twice on mine. I thought it was possibly a stuck door on the climate control system.

I was planning to have the dealership check it out since I'm due for the first oil change.

I had a very annoying rattle issue from the front driver wheel as well, for me the cause turned out to be the brake pad retainer clips, not what was mentioned earlier which holds the caliper together but on the pads that go against the double piston,, for each piston there are 4 clips from pad that hold it in, well mine rusted and 2 clips fell inside the hole in the piston, changed my pads and it finally dissapeared thank god becuase that was the most annoying sound ever

Hi all, i know this post is just about dead and I don't chime in much anymore, but I've had this on 2 of my wk2s. The first was my 2012 laredo and it started after the dealer replaced a hub under warranty. Turned out to the be antirattle clip. I found that a certain sized pothole, bump, or access cover on the road would set it off every time. Then i found that if i rode the brake pedal ever so slightly when i hit that same pothole, bump, or access cover, it wouldn't happen. Turned out to be the antirattle clip. You can get them at O'reilly or ebay as part H5850

Now i have a 14 limited and have started to notice the same thing. When i keep light pressure on the brake pedal, it goes away. So i'm convinced its the same issue. i just have to find the time to take it apart now and put that clip in there.

I had this too, turned out to be the exhaust pipe hitting something. The dealer didn't tell me exactly what was wrong but charged me $200 to find the damn thing.
