Re: Rearend or rear suspension clunk/creak

just so you guys know

tomorrow I am getting all new bilstein 5100 series shocks all 4 corners

In the rear, the rear shock mounts for the load-leveling shocks (with oem tow) are DIFFERENT than the non-tow package (non-load-leveling shocks) so this involves about $50 in mopar parts per side in the rear to convert

Let you guys know how it goes

Yeah keep me posted. I got the Jeep back for other work. Since I've had it back, I can't hear that noise anymore. Not sure if the service guy was just too proudful to admit he was wrong and did the work and didn't tell me. Oh well. I'm happy for now.

Its a really odd noise. Its really only on uneven roads/bumpy roads between say... 15mph and 40mph and then it sounds like a racquetball bouncing around off the rear axle

Re: Rearend or rear suspension clunk/creak

update.

Just picked up my 2012 Altitude back from the dealer. Bilstein 5100 series shocks all 4 corners installed. Rides super smooth no, no more clunk in the rear. Thank the LAWWWWWWD. Jeep customer care really came through for me on this one, if you guys are still struggling with this issue I suggest pursuing that avenue as the dealer / Jeep in general does not seem to have a fix for this internally - other than continuously replacing the rear shocks/shock mounts.
