I got that part too, and mine is in the shop again for replacement. Noise started around 6500 miles. Cross fingers that you stay lucky!

I seriously consider to swap the shocks and springs to aftermarket ones as soon as they are available. But seriously, 300$ shocks (per piece) shouldn't make any noise at all.

Re: Rearend or rear suspension clunk/creak

I have those also and noise came back at 700 miles. Still waiting for a new replacement that fix the problem.

Re: Rearend or rear suspension clunk/creak

On 6/14 I posted. My shocks are on national back order. The service adviser said they should be here this week (first week of July).

Good news for you (thumbs up). Just curious if you could find out what version of them (AF?)

Re: Rearend or rear suspension clunk/creak

Ok I have not had the shocks installed yet, it's been such a busy week. I did get the part number and it's the 6806980AD version. My service adviser said this was its 4th revision. So I'm going Tuesday the 9th and have them installed. Thought I would have had them done this past week but it's just been crazy!

Either I am missing a number or that's the new shock...

That's the one they used on mine about 9-10,000 miles ago, no noise for me with them but I think others have still had problems.

Good luck. But it does not work. I have mine change 3 times with those already and always comeback at about 1000 miles.

I'm wondering what version they are putting on the 14's? Maybe this is an issue they have addressed with the 14's and have decided to let us guys with 11-13's deal with it on our own?
