So there are zero cases that you know of? Is that correct? That's zero right? meaning none? By the way I have read nowhere that this recall has anything to do with airbags not working.

I have never felt invincible, don't know what you were taking when you were young!

Don't get over excited about airbags. and don't let it give you'll a false sense of security.. A cars safety goes much deeper than just airbags!!

I know what airbags excites me, and it ain't in a steering wheel;-)

I took that as you were mocking me for my 3 day reference not having air bags. If not, then it's my bad.

And since when is discussing the importance of having working safety features in your vehicle "whining"? Don't you think that's a bit harsh? I'm not the one attacking anyone about this...like you I'm only giving my opinion.
I was not mocking you, and I am sorry for the whining comment. I read your post just after I got of the phone and learned that I was not getting the $500 coupon for my Jeep I am picking up in 2 days. Sorry I took it out on you.

That sucks, I know how you feel. I received my $500 coupon shortly after I took delivery of my 2014 GC.

That's correct Ironside. None that I've read or heard about.

I'm getting tired of defending my opinion to you, and you obviously just want to fight...so I will leave you with this one last question:

If my instrument panel were to "light up like a Christmas tree" as other have reported (or went dead or showed CELs), how do you know for sure that any of those CELs aren't real? Has the 2014 GC have not had grounding issues with people reporting modules being replaced because of those issues (including myself)?

I really don't care about your personal feelings on driving with or without air bags...I'd be happy if you just answered my question.

Also if error lights are lit up, you don't know where the fault is that caused that and that fault could disable the airbags because it thinks they are malfunctioning.

Only the programmers know or someone that has been in accident with them lit up would actually know that for sure.

It sounds like the work around is easy. But most people would never know.

There is no question this is a pretty serious fault.

What is sad though is that someone that works their posted saying "We told them during testing". I know you have to be careful what you read on line. But just seeing how long this rather serious fault has gone on. It wouldn't surprise me if that statement is correct. I run into issues like that all the time. Management pays for testing and pays programmers to detect faults. And then Management chooses to ignore it.

Does healthcare.gov sound familiar. It failed testing, but they decided to go live anyway.
The infamous O-rings on the space shuttle.

Happens over and over and over.

I don't want to fight at all. The answer to you question is you wouldn't know for sure if they are real or not. The reason for the recall is to fix the issue. You also answered my question that you know of zero failures of the air bags.

I'm curious of how many cases do you know of that they have deployed with the airbag malfunction light on due to this fault?

I thought so.

That's a stupid question. I have heard of no cases where the air bags have failed to do what they are supposed to do. That was the point.
