Hmmm, my Jeep was built at the end of July and I don't have this recall notice on my ownerconnect site. The recall goes threw Aug 20th builds. Wonder why some have and some don't?

To whether or not they were replacing the instrument cluster as part of the recall.

Re: Recall notices for instrument cluster

According to the recall notice it's just a software flash and tightening the ground. It doesn't mention anything about replacing any parts. Post #60 of this thread has a pdf of the recall notice explaining everything, with a picture of the ground that may need tightened.

It's all about taking responsibility for your own actions, be it from an irresponsible owner, or even Chrysler for releasing a product that's not ready yet.

Are you just trying to sound as ridiculous as possible? I mean what is your point?? All manufactures have recalls from time to time to correct issues that come up. Your not happy with the recall to correct a possible issue? What is it that you want? Please explain exactly what is it that would satisfy you? Yea right I'm sure your insurance rates are going to go thorough the roof because of this.

If we can get Scott to add voice to the site, will you read all the TSBs, on demand. That way we won't have to read anything.

Ridiculous? Perhaps if you read my posts correctly you'd understand my point, and I never said I was unhappy with the recall or how Chrysler was handling it.

Let me recap for you...

An owners instrument panel goes haywire...goes blank or shows CELs for air bags and/or ABS as it appears some have experience with this malfunction. Now how does the owner know that the CELs aren't real? Because some in this thread are guessing that they're not real? And should the owner then continue to drive their vehicle not knowing if the air bags or the ABS is deactivated because of this instument panel malfunction? I then just asked a hypothetical question about possible denial of insurance if this was the case.

My CEL for air bags driving my new 2014 off the lot was real, and a part was replaced to get the air bags working again, but I did not feel 100% safe driving the vehicle for 3 days without air bags...would you?

So tell me, how is my logic here ridiculous, and why do my questions bother you so?

Hell, if Scott has the technology, I've got the time. Besides, it would save wear and tear on my keyboard!

Sucks you had these problems, but I survived over 20+ years of driving cars without airbags, and I still slept well at night.

My thinking exactly!! The government should do a campaign, saying if your car doesn't have an airbag stop driving now!! Lol
