Did it change the behaviours of the gate involved as this addressed a hidden issue with the vehicle not acknowledging first press on the remote...
Thanks. I could add this to the growing list of recalls and TSB's that I'd like to get done. I didn't have the sunvisor recall done yet. That's probably a good thing since it sounds like they are going to have to redo that recall since even repaired vehicles have caught fire.

When did you last have any service at a dealer?

Released July 03, 2014 as an RRT. If your Jeep was in for any service since then, it should have been done automatically. If so, it should show on an invoice.

The last time I had my Jeep at the dealer was back in late November 2014. The last bit of advice that the STAR team had the dealer do was to replace and program 2 new keyfobs. Of course it made no difference. Then after that, STAR came back with their famous response "Vehicle is Performing as Designed". Which we all know means they don't know how to diagnose the problem. And yes, they did the RRT 14-050 back in October 2014.

But it has been 6 months since I've been there, so maybe we (dealer personnel and me) are not on a first name basis anymore?

But thanks for mentioning the RRT.

I know this is over 2 years old but there is no adjustment on the liftgate strut motor, just replacement.

Did the Jeep engineer ever come up with a cure for his "personal challenge"?
Or more likely did he get fired for spending to much time on the problem and moved on to Ford or GM?

Re: Remote Liftgate Opening

well it took them a while on this one but they finally released a flash so that the liftgate remote only needs two presses instead of four to open on the 2014s

was just checking this and confirmed that 2 clicks work now to open gate instead of 4 when jeep is asleep

Re: Remote Liftgate Opening

You beauty!!! I had 08-100-15 installed today and I have just confirmed that sneaking up on our Jeep after she has been sitting there for a few hours and doing a mere double-click of the keyfob now opens the tailgate!

Previously if our Jeep were asleep it required four - the first two would wake her up and the next two would open the tailgate.
