I'll make a point to send a note to them tomorrow, just for you Bob.
While this is partially true, Good stores actually look into this stuff and if you take the extra few minutes to complain about it every time you are in this can help.

Also on another note, when dealing with the Service Reps, if a TSB or Star Case gets updated on something after you are out of warranty, if you can show multiple copies of work orders where you have submitted this complaint it is very hard for them not to cover it.

I don't think the FOB thing will be like this but I am sure you can think of senarios where there was something were this makes sense.

I mean this one is tough to argue with it says 2x on the key fob.

I think with a mass emailing, we might get Jeep to edit version 5 of the owner's manual to read;

"To open the lift gate, press the button on the fob from 2 to 4 times until the gate begins to open"

Then everyone should be happy.

and there is a campaign where they scratch the 2 off your fob and write in a 4 with a white out pen

Does yours sound like you're fighting the motor when you close it manually?

Mine does big time. Not sure if that is normal but I have only done it twice since May. So it doesn't bother me

Sure, but it's normal.

Re: Remote Liftgate Opening

Since my 2014 was new, I've noticed that the power liftgate strut doesn't sound as smooth when in operation as my 2012 Overland did. This one sounds like its always straining. Hopefully it will die and they will have to replace it. I wonder if Chrysler changed suppliers of the power struts on the 14's?

Re: Remote Liftgate Opening

Mine often takes 4 clicks. Has anyone actually gotten this fixed and what did it take to fix it?

Re: Remote Liftgate Opening

are you guys pressing the button really fast 2x? I press mine 1 time and make sure to fully release and then press it again and its never failed me. But if my wife gets it and tries to open it she will almost never get it first try. She just presses the button too fast.

Re: Remote Liftgate Opening

I have had my Overland just over a week with a build date of 8/13 and I have the same issue up to four clicks to open the liftgate. Never had this issue on my 2011.

I don't believe this problem occurs on the 11-13 WK's. The 14's have a new electrical architecture and Chrysler doesn't have a clue how to diagnose the problem.
