Contacting chrysler direct gets a CRM case assigned and those generally they need to categorize to close out in the system.

While this is partially true, Good stores actually look into this stuff and if you take the extra few minutes to complain about it every time you are in this can help.
Also on another note, when dealing with the Service Reps, if a TSB or Star Case gets updated on something after you are out of warranty, if you can show multiple copies of work orders where you have submitted this complaint it is very hard for them not to cover it.
I don't think the FOB thing will be like this but I am sure you can think of senarios where there was something were this makes sense.
I mean this one is tough to argue with it says 2x on the key fob.
