Re: Remote Start Climate Control
I have a 2012 Overland Summit and I put a digital temperature probe in one of the vents and did a remote start with the A/C buton pushed and the fan turned all the way up, when I opened the door the temperature on the probe was in the 80's and the A/C light was off, but as soon as I opened the door the light came on and the temperature started to drop since the compressor kicked in when the door was opened, the only way I could get cold air doing a remote start was if I put the system on AUTO before I stopped the engine this way it was in that mode when I started it back up with the remote start.
I feel that whatever mode you have it in A/C or Auto and you do a remote start it should come on and start to cool the car down should not have to remember to push the AUTO button before you get out of the car.
Is the software update that is coming out going to solve the problom of the compressor not coming on when you have the system only in A/C mode?
