Can't Milous or any of our other "connected" members help us find answers? They are quick to let us know of new models and keep us up to date on orders, but what about after delivery? We're stuck dealing with clueless dealerships. Ugh. Just frustrated and had to vent.

Thank you captain obvious. I did email back saying it is on the EVIC, yet no climate controls with remote start. I also referenced this thread.

Re: Remote Start Climate Control

It does not say "All other features and controls are not active until you insert or enter the vehicle" in the manual. At least not mine. Tell him he needs to escalate to the Technicla team and also mention that in all 2011 models and some 2012 models this capability worked.

Re: Remote Start Climate Control

If I had left the GC in Auto or AC mode when I turned it off in hot weather, mine will be cooling when I remote start it. Although with the limited range of the remote, it does not cool down much by the time I walk the 150 ft or so to my GC. So IMHO, the feature is pretty much worthless. If I really wanted to use the feature, I would order the optional Mopar extended range remotes that increase the starting distance up to "800 feet".

Remote Start

A big part of the issue in my opinion, is that what the system will turn on in cold or hot weather is based on the temperature sensor reading when the GC was last parked. So if you park it at 65 deg F in the early morning
and it is 90 deg F when you come out at lunch, the AC will not turn on if you are in Auto mode. If you had parked the GC in manual AC mode, it will turn on.

In the winter I have the opposite problem. The sensor is still reading 20 deg F when I park in my heated garage at work in the morning. When I leave at lunch or the end of the day my GC is sitting in a 70 deg F garage and the heater is blasting, heated seat on and the rear defroster on - when then do not need to be.

Interesting, where did you obtain that information from?

Re: Remote Start Climate Control

Are you saying the HVAC is turning on and off based on the external tempature when the car is parked and turned off? I do not know of any HVAC systems that turns on and off based on external tempatures, it is always based on the internal cabin or room temp. no? It sounds like you are just getting external air blown into the car and the HVAC is not turning on at all.

Re: Remote Start Climate Control

I thought only the "Remote Start Comfort Systems" monitored the outside air temperature for the purpose of turning on the ventilated seat, or heated seat & steering wheel.. I didn't realize the "Climate Control" did the same.

Re: Remote Start Climate Control

I again tried the remote start on my 11/11 built WK2 today. Upon startup, I could hear the a/c compressor click on and upon entering vehicle (outside temp 87) cold air was coming from vents (a/c led was lit) an cooled driver seat was on high. As soon as I pressed the start button, the drivers seat cooling level went to the low setting.

So it seems to be working fine on my vehicle.

Does anyone know if an actual TSB has been released for this issue?

Re: Remote Start Climate Control

I have not seen anything official from Chrysler including an actual TSB number, but this was posted on page 10 of this topic by another user.

"A software update to the HVAC module is being worked on at this time. Below is the bulletin regarding the issue. I will post it here when the update is released.

Release Date: 06/25/2012
Symptom/Vehicle Issue: No A/C Operation When Using Remote Starting System

Diagnosis:
Customer may complain of no A/C cooling when using the remote starting system. This is most noticed on vehicles equipped with ATC system. This concern will be resolved with a software update to the HVAC control module. Estimated availability of software update is 08/13/2012."
