Remote Start Disabled - Start Vehicle to Reset??

I started my Jeep today and the "check engine" light came on...Later in the day I used the remote start only to find out it will start up for 10 seconds then shut off. EVIC says to "start vehicle to reset" but this does not seem to work. Anyone out there having the same issues?

Check the fuel level.
I know that if the LOW FUEL light is on, and you start it remotely, it will only run for a few seconds then shut off.
I'm not sure about the other message. Might need to see a dealer to read the Error Code.

Re: Remote Start Disabled - Start Vehicle to Reset??

That is correct low fuel message in the EVIC will disable remote start until the fuel level is raised above the low fuel level

Re: Remote Start Disabled - Start Vehicle to Reset??

An active check engine light will prevent the remote start from working. Once the code is cleared, the remote start will work as normal. Also, after a few unsuccessful remote sart attempts, you need to start manually start your Jeep to reset the system.
