Reset 'oil change required' message

We have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and I like to do my own oil changes. I have read the owners manual and tried what it says to do but still can't get 'oil change required' message on instrument panel to go away after latest oil change.
Can someone please explain to me how to reset my car to get rid of this oil change message.
Thanks.

Re: Reset 'oil change required' message

The reset procedure can be tricky. I've found that it's very sensitive to how fast or slowly you depress the pedal all the way to the floor and how soon you finish the procedure by pressing the start button.

Re: Reset 'oil change required' message

Turn to ACC and then pump the gas pedal 3 times. This should reset it.

Re: Reset 'oil change required' message

ive never seen that reset oil message but this last time i went to dealer to do oil change the techs claimed they did reset the oil life but it still read the previous numbers. They must have done the 3 pedal pumps and start atleast 5 or 6 times before it actually reset back to 100.
