Re: RHR Losing Presets

This happens occasionally for us when we change seat positions between my setting and the wife's... While still in park hit the memory button a second time and they have always came back for me... So now just out of habit I just press my memory number twice while getting in the jeep...

Re: RHR Losing Presets

Thanks, will try this the next time when/if it happens. This certainly seems like a much easier/quicker fix than looking for an update online, hoping it's the correct one, downloading it onto a CD, uploading that to the radio, (hope nothin' gets "effed up" during the upload), and then wait and see if it fixed the problem!

Re: RHR Losing Presets

I lost all my presets one day by pressing the voice activation system while driving, saying the station I wanted, and then going to my presets. They just disappeared. How annoying. I didn't press the seat memory button though.

One of the things my wife and I found out was that the radio station goes back to the last station that you were on. For example, I was listening to some music station when I left. My wife said she'll drive so she got in and we laughed when the radio went on because it was on a ballgame and she never listens to the ballgame. That was the last radio station it was on the last time she drove and I was in the car.

Re: RHR Losing Presets

I have a 2012 w this radio. Took to dealer 3x and they said i was doing it wrong. Finally called JEEP directly. Said it is a known issue after much run around. They blame Sirus and maker of radio. A flash is still being "worked on". Radio should do following:
Read text messages
Transcribe text messages
Store nav destinations(keep them in storage)
Find address book in phone(phone book works only)

So far terrible experience with this. Great truck, but terrible customer service and worse radio.

Re: RHR Losing Presets

Yeah, I have to agree that the overall performance of the RHR is mediocre at best! Certainly wasn't worth the wait!!

Hope they do come up with a "flash", as I'm not in the mood to start trying to download updates, burn to disk or drive, and then attempt to upload to the radio (hopefully) without screwing something else up.

Re: RHR Losing Presets

I did the update myself and simply used a flash drive I had laying around. For me anyway, it was well worth doing because that update was without a doubt the fix. I have not lost a preset or home address since. For those that arent willing to attentp it yourself, well your gonna have to live with it then. The RHR works as it should now.
