The real question is how bad is the paint damaged as to whether it can be PDR'd or not.
Yea I don't care if they have to cut holes to access it. There is no paint damage upon closer inspection. I appreciate you taking the time to investigate.

I hear you. It would kick my butt, too. I hope you can get it resolved easily and not have to spend the $475 the dealer wants.

God bless the rock hit your hood. Now imagine a windshield exchange...........with all those sensors in there.

I bought the Jeep nameplate today at the dealer and when i put the e's up they make the dent look almost unnoticeable.. i will see what the paintless dent guy says on friday.. kills me tho, car is only 2 months old...
I feel your pain. I hope the PDR guy can fix it. Some of those guys are true geniuses, but aluminum can be difficult to work with. I'll say a novena for you.

No problem, I hate dings too and I've been disappointed a couple times that PDR wasn't possible due to location which is why I didn't want to get your hopes up. For some reason I get dings in weird places LOL.

Yeah I wouldn't worry about the drilling, I've had that done a few times. Make sure they treat the edge of the hole with a rust inhibitor, and plug the hole with a plastic plug. Any reputable tech will do that automatically.

Let us know how it goes!

Today on the same highway a rock kicked up and put a dent in my windshield, time to change routes. So the paintless dent remover said $150, and there is a minor scratch, i bought the jeep nameplate and paint and after holding it all up to the hood its not that bad, i will know its there, but very unnoticable what to do, what to do, what to do

Re: Rock kicked up on highway - this is what it did

Ugh! That sucks about the windshield too. How bad?

Yeah you're better off doing the PDR and touching up the scratch then you are repainting the whole hood, worrying about paint match, etc.

I have a ding on the Jeep that the PDR guy could only get out about 90%. Nobody else would notice, but I do which sucks. Sucks that yours was brand brand new, mine was only brand new LOL.

Did you have the dent repaired? How did they do it? My hood has a similar dent and a few smaller ones

I hope you get a response, but the person who started this thread has not been seen here in over a year.
