Re: roof leak

for that matter, the basic laredo would have been better then. Less thing to go wrong and 16k more to use on vacations.

There is some condensation inside the car.

How is the law regarding miles driven for the Lemon law? I not happy at all with the situation. So I am considering everything at this point.

Lemon law is different in all states. It is in one of the booklets that came with your car - check it out. It's not that simple to lemon your car - a lot of conditions have to be met, they are all in that booklet.

Re: roof leak

and when you think that nothing else can happen....well think again.

I pressed the button to open the rear lift gate, and I hear a like a glass breaking noise. The door opens only half way and it stops. I check to see what is going on and I see that water had leaked and there was ice on the power lift. So basically the whole thing froze up. (we had a sudden drop in temperature)

I am having the car towed to the dealer and I hope they keep it. I am very disappointed.

I sincerely hope that mine is just an exception and the other ones are better built.

What would you do?

Re: roof leak

^Wk2sb, sorry to hear this. If I were in your shoes, I'd likely want a new rig as well.

If you haven't already, suggest opening up a formal case complaint with ChryCo. They have a separate case department just for WK2. Hope it works out.

Some of us have had good results from Jeep cust service. Try that first, and be firm, factual and persistent but don't lose your cool. It's free, lawyers aren't.

Re: roof leak

Customer Service, Headquarters, and Dealer, have been very responsive with the issue.

But I do not consider myself a lucky customer, and I am not happy. I have only one request to fix my problem, and if this does not happen, I will not be happy.

Nevertheless, they will hear your complaints, and they will try to help.

... looking at the TSB file, it looks that everytime I go to the dealer there is a new one.... They should pay me a consultancy fee...

Re: roof leak

Just noticed there is a new TSB on the WK2Jeeps site about leaking from the sunglasses pocket. What surprises me is no mention of complete drying out of all parts and mould eradication if this leak is found. Maybe that is considered common sense, but I wonder...

Re: roof leak

Its kind of funny that only a month or so after mine is "the first one" to have any problem like this they issue a TSB. So basically those that said they had never seen the problem before had to be full of S**T. Either that they had a long lunch break that day at Jefferson North and mine and a lot of others were built after the uhh. . . lunch break. Glad they acknowledged it now though.

Yeah I had two separate issues. The sun roof drains were installed wrong causing flooding and also had to had windshield replaced too because the major flooding was coming from the top console by sunglasses.

Re: roof leak

Keep records of all your visits because in NYS your half way there on getting it lemoned. I know I will be with mine.

I was happy with mine until the QL and navigation decided not to work for no reason, lets see what goes wrong next.

Good luck to you sir and keep us posted.
