I am experiencing same issue. Been to dealer multiple times. It will bump me 2-3 inches forward when downshifts. My garage is tight, and I have to make sure I stop before entering garage, when I get close to wall (in order to fit when trailer hitch is on, I have to be 1 inch from the wall. if I am in second and approaching the wall it will bump me into the wall. I have showed the dealer it happens in traffic, and they stated its normal characteristic of transmission. I am taking in for 60K service at another dealer and will show them what its doing. This transmission should shift to 1st from 2nd at 3-4MPH and not at <1mph, or dead stop. Its an inherent problem.

Hi ytqm,

Please feel free to follow up and send us a message when you go in for your 60K service, and we can check in with your dealer on the shifting concerns.

Re: Rough transmission after latest recall?

Does anyone experience this with a 2015 limited? When it's cold, the shift from 1st to 2nd is extremely rough. It's not smooth and the RPMs increase very high until it finally shifts. I didnt have this problem with my 2013, and it feels that it just started happening. I havent had it in yet for service, but will have them check it out when it is in for inspection. Hopefully the TSB also applies to 2015.

Re: Rough transmission after latest recall?

I know mine just went in for service for the recall last week. I picked it up Friday, didn't get a chance to drive it much until I went to pick up my parents from the airport. Something definitely has chanced since I picked it up. I have a 15 SRT and the 2-3 and 3-2 shifts feel like a fumble. Sometimes under gas in track mode its like it gets double clutched. My parents are driving it now so when I get it back i will get feedback from them and check it out on my own. The TSB says it's for MY 14 SRT's, not sure if it applies to mine.

I'm having the same exact issue with my '15 Limited. Getting new sneakers next month (buy 3, get one for $1!) and I'm going to have them check it out then.

Same here.

It seems to hold 1st way longer than necessary, then jumps into second like it forgot it had to shift up. When it does, it's harsh. No other shift point is like that.

My other issue is during quick stop and go's at parking lot stop signs. It will be in 2nd coming to a stop, stay in 2nd as I start moving again, then lurch into 1st for no good reason at all before shifting up again. I'm not starting off fast, either - just gently giving it a little gas to start off.

In regards to the second issue, I'm not sure why the system even uses 1st gear at all in eco mode other than during initial startup. The transmission is perfectly capable of starting off in 2nd - and, in fact, does exactly that in snow mode to reduce torque. Starting off in 2nd would help reduce RPMs and save gas.

Having the 1-2 upshift issue in my '15 Limited and additionally some (somewhat sporadic) downshift roughness 5-to-4, 4-to-3. Been having the issues for 6 months and have been working on it with my dealer for 4 months - nothing has fixed it yet (relearns, updates, new transmission).
