Rough transmission after latest recall?

About a month ago I brought my 2014 GC Overland in for the shifter/transmission recall. They updated the software so that the car now throws itself into Park if you open the door.

I'm not sure if it's just a coincidence or if the update is buggy, but I've noticed that the shifts from 1st and 2nd gear have been very rough. For example, when slowing down at a stop sign I'll be braking, then I'll hit the gas and the transmission will noticeable jerk. Same thing happens when slowing down around corners. Has anybody else noticed an issue like this after the recall or is my transmission starting to show signs of wear at only 95,000km?

I had been feeling that too. But I kind of only notice them when the car is cold..

Re: Rough transmission after latest recall?

Have been driving around today and really paying attention to it, it happens when downshifting from 3rd gear to 2nd gear while pressing on the gas, and is not only happening when it's cold. The transmission temp is at 94c which translates to 201f

Strange, my 2014 5.7 started shifting odd after the update as well. From 1 - 2 and 2 - 3 and 3 - 4 under steady acceleration it almost shudders or bounces. Not always, usually when colder. Never did it before. I thought maybe a placebo type of effect but it is definitely happening.

Re: Rough transmission after latest recall?

Another thing I noticed is a delay after hitting the gas pedal sometimes. At first I chalked up these issues to the transmission having to relearn the driving habits or something...which is normal...but this has been happening too long now

J_Copeland, have you had your dealership address the shifting concerns?

Hi Yendor911--have you taken your vehicle back to the dealership for them to address the shifting? Since the issue presents itself when the vehicle is cold, I would suggest leaving it overnight so the dealer can try to replicate.

Re: Rough transmission after latest recall?

There is a new TSB for this issue I believe. I will be taking in my car for this update ASAP
