I have this same issue on my 2012 and I also have an issue with wiper blades streaking right in the middle of the driver side. Not sure if its coincidence or not but I haver tried Bosch rain-x and Oem.

Re: Rubber trim around front windshield

I replaced my wipers with the Bosch Icons and they are by far the best wipers I have ever had.
By the way,I am on my 3rd Lower windshield trim, the first 2 warped almost immediately.
The 3rd one has been on for about 20000 km and seems to be holding out.Its really a hit and miss situation ,I have seen brand new vehicles on the dealer lot with this warping issue right from the factory.
I try to treat this moulding periodically with Aerospace 303 Protectant .
It seems to do the trick.

Re: Rubber trim around front windshield

Anyone had this issue on a 2015 WK2.

was washing mine yesterday and noticed the cowl piece warping away from the windsheild on the driver side. Gap is nice and tight on passanger side but bulges out in a couple locations on driver side. Will have to ask nmy friend at dealer what they can do. May look at few others on the lot to look at too.
