Seat memory button has a second function..

I just discovered that when I shut down the engine but I'm still inside, the seat memory button changes the stereo function.. I press it and it'll change from whatever it is on ( in my case USB ) to satellite radio ? it does not do it if the engine is running only when off ....
Anyone else discover this ?

Re: Seat memory button has a second function..

You have a whole set of different radio presets for each user. That way if you have two drivers they can each have their own stations.

Re: Seat memory button has a second function..

I had the same experience last week and thought it was some sort of electrical issue. Imagine, separate presents per seat setting. That might be in the manual but I doubt it, I've read that thing a few times. Pretty bad manual BTW. But thanks for the info.

DRIVER MEMORY SEAT — IF EQUIPPED

This feature allows the driver to store up to two different memory profiles for easy recall through a memory switch. Each memory profile contains desired position settings for the driver seat, side mirrors, and power tilt and telescopic steering column (if equipped) and a set of desired radio station presets. Your Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter can also be programmed to recall the same positions when the UNLOCK button is pressed.

Awesome, thanks. Again I find the manual lacking in much info. Thx again.

If you just have the manual that came in the glove compartment it is a bit lite on info. You can get the full big set of manuals mailed to you for free if you call Auburn Hills and request them.

Oh wow, didn't know I can do that to the transmitter as well. I'll give my wife the other key fob so her setting are in place when she uses my truck.

Re: Seat memory button has a second function..

I have never looked at the manual in my glove box. I did however download all applicable manuals off website even before I got the Jeep. Loaded on my tablet in pdf format. Very comprehensive.
