Trying to get to the battery +ve terminal and was looking at removal of from drivers seat (RHD). Any idea what torque settings for bolts also how to unclip seat connector and what does the red clip on connector do?

thanks

Not positive but thought the battery was under the passenger seat?

Re: Seat removal - Battery access

Check your manual. You don't have to remove the seat. Move the passenger seat all the way forward.

(psst... right-hand drive) I doubt the primary "accessory" locations are changed when the steering, etc. is changed from one side to the other.

Battery could still be under the right hand seat.

Re: Seat removal - Battery access

Ok to get to the battery's +ve terminal I had to remove the seat bolts to get enough access to the battery, but I think it may be accessible at a struggle without doing this.

Gee ZZ - don't break it! You've only had it a couple of days!

Take piccies please so that others can follow in your tracks, I'm going to have to get at mine as well.

Re: Seat removal - Battery access

I didn't have to remove any of the seat bolts. Just popped both ends of the plastic panel. Used a vice grip to keep the cable end secure when removing the lock nut in
order to attach my accessory power cord. Just don't let the vice grips short out on the bottom of the seat.

Yeah 4 days old.. haven't told the wife that I had to drill another hole in the floor for the Anderson plug.. that's another story.

all back together now.. I noticed that the Jeep asked me for a radio code after I reconnected the battery. But as expected never got one from the dealer but when it recognised the key the message went away..

I post pics once I connect all the isolator/brake controller..
