Also try the detailing thread, you might get a wider audience then just WK2 owners..

if you're so worried about seat wear just buy some seat covers, and wow 12,000 miles in 4 months
12000km = + - 8000 miles

Re: Seat wear at 12,000 miles

Seats wearing like that is absolutely due to how you get in and out of your car. If you drag your ass against the seat when you get in and out it will do that. Especially with jeans on. I hate when I see someone (especially an over weight person) get into a car and literally sit on the side bolster then slide into their seat. I am not saying you are over weight by any means since I do not know you, but obviously the more weight being dragged against it the worse the wear will be. I have never had a car that has shown wear on the seats, but that is because I do not drag my body across the side bolsters. I basically go over them then sit straight down. My seats in my daily driver 2007 Acura TL-S with 67,000 miles look literally brand new. So unfortunately, your going to have the change how you get in and out to fix that problem. Hope this helps.

X2. It looks like the seat bolster is being "pinched" against the piping causing that crease.

Re: Seat wear at 12,000 miles

Seat wear is going to happen no matter what. This is one of the major reasons why I HATE leather seats because they look like shit when they start to wear. There is nothing that you can do about it. You can use cream to "prolong" the life of it but its still going to happen. No, warranty isn't going to cover it unless some service writer can sweet talk Jeep into doing it.
